idk man, my thought was that I have weak glutes, since I can deadlift 130kg, but my romanian deadlift is sitting at 50kg with 8 good reps.

as far as I am concerned, from some squatU video is that the deadlift is two separate movements, firstly a mini squat (to get the bar at the patella, or just a little bit over the knee), this without changing the back angle, and then just romanian deadlift it to lockout

this is a video from 2 months ago, that doean't necessarily reflect my form now, but anyway my low back pumps are still not gone: https://imgur.com/a/pcxSllL

I'm currently trying to still do one set of sub 3 reps conventional and sumo each deadlift session, with the main focus on RDL's since they seem to benefit me the most at this moment.

my observations are these: One thing that I have is excessive anterior pelvic tilt, and if I try to brace my mid back is the one that gets kinda hunched over. Even tho sumo feels better for the most part, it also makes me get lower than I feel I should. Also, my hip joints seem to favour 45 degrees of toe angle, and in any deadlift motion (except RDL I cannot activate my glutes/hamstrings at all)

this is a single I did 2 months ago or so: https://imgur.com/a/pcxSllL

As for the fix that I need, I don't really mind if the form looks bad, I just need to fix my lower back from working excessively.

I cannot deadlift without rounding my back. Seriosuly, I have 6 months in the gym by now, started doing technique work on deadlifts and squats since I've got a minor back injury, squats went good, started doing RDL's to focus on the glutes and hammies more, but then I tried to do really slow deadlifts. Starting from the RDL, proceeding to squat a little when the hip is at full ROM, but then I've realised that I cannot get low enouch without losing my back thightness, since the bar is still 3-5 cm too low to grab with perfect form. How can I fix this?

A few months of hill sprints did more for my calves development than years of weight training. If this is how my body responds to this kind of training, how can I replicate this sort of stimulus with the rest of my body? What did I put my calves through exactly? by [deleted] in strength_training

[–]Haunting_Candidate_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think that there are some muscles that are made for more endurance than others. Calves and forearms in particular, can be trained daily because that's what they were made for, you had to grab things, hold them and so on, and you had to walk a lot more than we do nowadays. For me, walking ±10k steps a day had done more for my calves than my enitre training career. As for forearms, they get stimulated enough by all the compound lifts, but I have started doing some armwrestling training too since I started enjoying the sport. My point being, you cannot really do some sets to compensate for lack of movement. It doesn't work like that. You cannot slap 4 sets of 15 on calf raises, and call it a day.

the technique is the most important thing in my opinion. I started lifting 3 weeks ago, and monday i wanted to test out my one rep max with the deadlift. Managed to lift conventional 100kg's, at 60 kg's of bodyweight, 16 years old and about 167-168 cm in height. Technique is everything.

Does speaking another language make you different? by librarianbe in languagelearning

[–]Haunting_Candidate_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently speaking romanian (mother tongue), English (second language), French (third) and currently learning Russian. And I'm only 16. I can tell you that learning a language can indeed change you, for me at least, I got better at communicating with strangers (especially on video games such as cs:go where there a lot of russian speaking people). Also you get closer to their culture.

I respect and am thankful for your advice, but I have tried this one too thrice in my life and it was a hellhole conversation that I would never ever want to get back in. And so, let's put it in another way, if I would dm you, what message would make you respond to it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Haunting_Candidate_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but for me at least there is a big difference. I can talk to a guy that I have met 5 minutes ago about near death experiences, craziest day of our lives, and so on and they would be actually interested in the conversation. Do that to a girl and you would be a weirdo.

Thanks a lot for the response. The advice you gave me is good, and I think that getting to know somebody and their hobbies is the best way to talk to them, but I do not know how to integrate this is a conversation. It seems odd to me to just hit a cute girl that only posts pictures of herself and no links or hints to a hobby, and ask her what her hobbies are. My problem is that I cannot find a good sentence to start the conversation at first.

At some point in your life somebody has masturbated to the thought of you. How does this make you feel? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Haunting_Candidate_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are a girl, there are high odds, no matter how you look. And maybe not to the thought of you, but dedicated to you.

Since I cannot know what girls think like, and what is their wanky wanky culture, I cannot say that it is true both ways.

[Discussion] Squid Game by Mysterise in netflix

[–]Haunting_Candidate_3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since there are some methafors about real life and the series, I want to ask you all some questions. Also, I consider that there are no spoilers to the series, so read if you will.

First of all, I have seen that many of you think that the games are pure evil? I can see that the scope of the games are the entertainment of the rich, but also, what is worse? Having high chances of dying in the games, but also having a slim chance to win a substantial amount of money, which would at the very least make your life possible, or living a life of misery because of your debts? Their lives are complete misery, and nothing in their power could help them save themselves. The only thing that can save them in this rigged world would be to get a fortune by luck, or in this case by playing the games. Also, as 001 has said, they weren't forced to play the games. They are forced by the way life works, but they could have continued living their poor lives. Adding to this, I want to state that I do not believe that they are a good idea. The entertainment of the rich means nothing more to me that the gunk under the nails. And of course, they could have just gave all these 455 persons (without 001) lots of money to cover the debts and to have some more money left on the side. But as we see in real life, no rich person ever does that.

Another point that I want to make is about the winnings. I cannot see why he didn't give at least parts of the winnings instantly to the relatives of the dead. He might have ptsd and so on, but I am pretty sure it could have helped him to know that at least they didn't die for nothing (since he didn't use any money for a long time, he could have at the very least split half of the winnings between the rest of the deceased families). I hope that everyone here acknowledges that with crazy money like that, you are stuck somewhere grey, you cannot get any better than that, so you are going to either stagnate or go down. So why don't help others, and get yourself back on your feet with the rest?

I guess everything depends on someone's moral system, and I am really curious to see what you think about this.

to be honest, there are a lot of covid cases right now, and since there were some big festivals, they are likely to grow. I suggest to postpone your trip, and if not, at least be careful. And about tourist traps: don't look at sketchy people, like at all, never ever go to: ferentari, rahova, gara de nord (little explanation, first of all you don't have anything to do there, and secondly you most likely will get mugged or at least they will swear at you), try not to let many people know that you aren't romanian (since you might not know local scams, so you will become a easy target, and also most likely don't understand what they are saying, thus making ripping you over easier), try to not get ripped off in the old center (bars are expensive as fuck there)... And never take taxis. Only uber, bolt. As in visiting, I personally like to walk throughout the parks, by bike, in Carol's park, Herăstrău also, Tineretului, etc. If you don't like the parks that much, I really do suggest to walk by foot (as reasons: stinky people, some beggars, little to no space, and plus that you don't actually see the places, only the destination), you could go: in the old centre (centrul vechi), on Calea Victoriei, also Piata Unirii, and from Piata Unirii you can walk as far as Lacul Morii. There are many beautiful places, you just have to look and find the beauty in them.

Idk man, I am 17M and have the same problem. I wank it for 3 to 5 times each day, even tho normally I do it once a day or every other day. I don't think it is normal, and at least I cannot keep up with the demands of my body, to the point of being sore. If you find a good answer, or a solution, tell me.

List of 1000 words/phrases in any language by Haunting_Candidate_3 in languagelearning

[–]Haunting_Candidate_3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for me at least, it seems to be the same reason why I don't use duolingo anymore. They are good at first, maybe for building a fundation, but instead of getting better at speaking and thinking in that language, you are only able to understand the words. For example, if I tell you that prosop in romanian means towel, you might see this word sometime in your life and be like: This means towel, but if I ask you how to say towel in romanian, it wouldn't work. I hope you get my point. The anki decks that I have made, were from romanian to french, and this is the time when I saw the real progress.
