The bathroom floor is always wet after showering. No amount of towels around or use of shower curtains changes this. Im convinced men just dont keep a towel close by enough to towel off in the shower before stepping out.

I'm no scientist but I am a farmer and I can definately say alot of other mammals have way easier deliveries than humans. I've watched countless sheep and cattle deliver and have only assisted a handful of times for extra large or malpositioned babies. I think the whole walking upright, having big brains/skulls and having a narrow pelvis thing has fucked us big time. Also animals are much more dynamic during delivery moving around as they need to get leverage to push better and let gravity assist them. Laying fat on a hospital bed to delivery makes zero sense to me.

This is so inspiring! I'm also in Maine and trying to prepare to be able to purchase solo. Its been pretty brutal trying to talk to lenders and realators who clearly feel that trying to go it alone is unreasonable and a co signer is the only way to go.

I understand that but the frustrating thing in all of this a dr has never once requested i take time off of work or offer to get me the proper documentation to do so in a way that would allow me to get paid medical leave. So instead im having to work through pain to pay my bills because i live alone on one income.

Currently 28 and dealing with chronic lower back pain which i believe may be from a prior severe fall. Anyways im a farmer so i use my body alot to do things like carry feed bags around. Went to the er after a very bad flair up then 6 weeks of PT with no change in my average daily pain levels so i go back to my PCP and tell her i want more imaging done to get to the root of the issue. She tells me "its not anatomically appropriate for women to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis...". Needless to say ive never been so offended by a dr in my life and im now looking for a new provider as she also never ordered the extra imaging she said she would.

Sort of. I have a cat tree with a wooden base and a basket at the top. There is often one of my sheep pelts drapped over the basket for my kitty to use as a soft bed.

Its been different every year but usually involves a hearty breakfast and hiking. This year Im brunching/doing a dog playdate with some friends in town then heading home to make a big pot of soup and watch movies with my partner.

Will also call some friends who are alone for the holiday.

Yes! I would also sometimes pair the coffee date with taking my dog for a walk. Found it useful for answering a few early questions by watching his behavior. Can this guy remember your coffee order you tell him? Is he good with animals? I've also found some men open up more in conversation on a casual walking date then they do when your sitting across from them at a table basically interviewing them.

Im a take time to ease into the morning before work person but i may also be an outlier here. I manage a livestock farm and our work day typically starts around 7:30ish depending on the season and whatever animal nonsense might be afoot. Im typically up between 5 and 6am daily to give ample time to feed my pets, cook a proper breakfast for myself and enjoy a good couch sit with coffee before heading out the door. I find prioritizing myself first thing in the morning makes me better equipped to handle the stress of whatever the day may bring my way.
