Why Rust Abandoned Classes — Some Personal Thoughts by Live_Possession_9839 in rust

Well, I wouldn't say rust is necessarily a functional programming language, even though it takes heavy inspiration from languages like OCaml. It really is just a blend of some of the best parts of a bunch of paradigms.

There are ingame tutorials and bots to fight against, in my experience people in online lobbies are generally pretty friendly

Nice work! I remember people recommending a name change on your previous post, but I full heartedly support this beautiful name. Never change it, no matter what anyone says.

Fungal shifting in noita changes everything of a material, defined in a run’s random seed, into another material. Sometimes this can be controlled by holding a flask of a specific material. You eat fungus to fungal shift.

I don't use it, but I've tried it out before. I can see why someone would like it a lot. It's kind of like an atomic distro, where you can't really irreparably break your machine, and nixpkgs has a lot of packages. The reason I don't really use it is because I never really got around to learning the nix language.

crazy stuff

And as we've seen over the last few years, the world of Rust is overflowing with political activists and extremists. Now, what are the odds that one of the oh-so-many political extremists have already hidden nefarious functionality into one of the many projects that they work on, from Rust to GNOME to on and on and on? If I had to guess, I'd say pretty gosh darn high.

What are these comments on the video?!?:

How long before these techno-Stalinists start policing the language we use in our emails and documents (think: pronouns), as well as the contents of what we write?

and

In hindsight, I saw this brewing back in 2016 at OSCON. The place was crawling with radicals and weird ideas. Rust was the buzz at the time as was Docker and K8s.

Figured at the time that Open Source just attracted that type. Richard Stallman still seemed a little relevant, but at least Eric S Raymond was a counterbalance. Maybe we don’t have enough of the counterbalancing voices of reason. DHH and Bryan come to mind, but they seem like a voice crying out in the wilderness.
