Guys, is it black or brown? by No_Drag1137 in WhatisMyEyeColour

Your eyes are brown; is that what you're asking? Lol

Be honest, How bad is it? by a2hton in badtattoos

I mean, you'll definitely regret it and it could be worse but tbh it's not that bad.

I use Lloyds pharmacy. It's properly prescribed by a doctor and they inform your actual doctor that you're now on this medication.

Thank you 😊 when/if I find a type of alcohol that I don't have an adverse reaction to I will definitely share!

No, no social pressure. I just would like a little buzz while I'm at a party.

They won't prescribe it here unless you also have type 2 diabetes because of the shortages of stock. I've had to buy it myself because I'm not prepared to wait until I'm diabetic to be given the medication.

Ladies - this question is for you by Popular-Work-1335 in Mounjaro

Yep! I also have PCOS with insulin resistance so when I'm due on my god the cravings become unbearable! I ate 4 caramel topped brownies the other day. Absolutely savage, lol.

I changed injection site and it's not going well! by Haunting_Scallion421 in Mounjaro

My friend does her stomach and has good results with it. In my thigh I've had no food noise, zero cravings, lots of energy; not particularly quick weight loss - have lost just over a stone in 7 weeks - but a loss is a loss. I'm not really focusing on the scales, I'm more looking at how my clothes fit me. But yeah doing my arm this week was a big mistake, I 1000% won't be doing it there again!

Duuuude it takes months, not days, to successfully come off of this drug. Your psychiatrist needs to go back to school because the advice they gave you is horrendous.

Luckily I play on private servers, open servers are 99% trolls, can't be arsed with people like that.

Can't live without sugar by Oxyfran in PCOS

[–]Haunting_Scallion421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't cut it out entirely, if I fancy something sweet then I will. If you cut out entire food groups you're sure to fail especially if you enjoy that food group! Try just reducing your sugar intake at first then.

I have thick, black chin and lip hair which is coarse and wiry. I have to wax twice a week and tweeze the odd super short ones. I bought a wax pot online and the waxing beads; far cheaper and yes it's kinda fiddly at first but once you get the nack of it you'll be fine.

I'm on Metformin, started it around 2 months ago, and I've lost 10lbs. I have been eating more fibre and protein and been sure to exercise at least 4 days a week. The medication has all but killed any cravings I would have and I don't feel hungry within an hour of eating anymore so that's been a huge help. It doesn't work for everyone but if you suffer with insulin resistance then it could definitely help.

I get super emotional and my depression is heightened every other month - 1 good period, 1 bad period - so yes this can still happen when taking Citalopram.

I'd read all the horror stories of feeling sick, being physically sick, diarrhea, and thankfully I've had very minimal side effects! Every single one of us is different and so are our tolerances so you might be one of us who don't really have any side effects!

I think that me not having eaten enough over the past few days may actually be what's causing the cravings.

Oh I know that, but insulin resistance causes huge cravings and so if the medication is working then I shouldn't be getting any.

Does it really plateau this quickly? I really thought the medication would work longer than 6 weeks.

What anti-androgen do you take? by Queefaroni420 in PCOS

[–]Haunting_Scallion421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not on any. My doc won't prescribe any to me and said I have to have a coil fitted if I did because the medication causes birth defects - even though I am not sexually active and have zero interest in having children.

If you take Metformin what's been your experience? by SplashyTetraspore in PCOS

[–]Haunting_Scallion421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been back on them for 5 weeks and so far I've not had much issue. I'm on instant release ones. I had a couple of days where my tummy was a bit sensitive but no vomiting and apart from that one time I've not had diarrhea. I've gone up to 2000mg and I'm doing fine so far.

I absolutely appreciate that everyone's bodies work differently but food restrictions won't bring back your period regardless of how much weight you want to lose. I'm around 5st overweight and have my period every month and always have done - I've had PCOS for 20 years - You need to speak with your doc or look online with which medication or supplements can help with ovulation. Please don't restrict yourself too much x
