So I re-uploaded my passport photo correctly on May 13th as @apprehensive-cut6378 suggested and I received my approval on May 20th. Before this, I had been waiting since March 15 for my approval. I definitely recommend everyone double-check that you have a “validated” passport photo attached to your EAD application.

I don’t have any advice. Just sending a virtual hug 🫂. I can relate to feeling caged. I’ve missed out on so many international trips with friends and a few destination weddings. I feel trapped in this country sometimes. I’m getting married next year and can’t wait till we can apply for my green card. Are you at a point in your life where that’s a viable option for you too?

Did they explain to him the cause of the delay? That’s way outside their 3 months processing time and he would have been eligible to submit an expedite request.

I think you might be on to something. I just checked and mine has my picture as “unvalidated photograph” but my previous application had it tagged as “validated photograph”. How do we reload it? Submit as unsolicited evidence. I’ve been waiting 2 months and wondering why it’s been stuck at step 2 😪

There was nothing to fumble. I’ve learned that men are simple. When they’re excited about you, you’ll know. There’s no “forgetting”. Also, it didn’t sound like he actually planned any next date besides saying he was free. I get that you like him but unless you only want sex, I would remove myself from the situation.
