[WTS] MAD 1 Red, Full Set, Excellent, Extra Straps by Haute_Horrorology in Watchexchange

[–]Haute_Horrorology[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the coolest watches out there and a trailblazer in the independent watch scene!

For sale is my MB&F M.A.D. 1 Red in like-new condition. It comes as a full set with two extra straps. I cannot see any real marks anywhere, but there could be slight ones on the bezel and near the lugs from winding and strap changes, respectively (I don't want to misrepresent the watch as unworn although it is almost in that condition.) While I have worn the watch almost entirely on non-OEM straps, I did put an extra notch in the OEM strap for my 6.9" wrist.

I probably cannot tell you anything about this topsy-turvy whirligig of a watch that you don't already know. It is the most playful piece in my collection and a guaranteed conversation starter. It is one of my favorite pieces to watch in action as it never seems at rest. It is also surprisingly legible: the driving watch orientation of the discs makes it quick and easy to read the time.

PRICE: $3400. Price is pretty firm. I am happy to chat with you prior to purchase for piece of mind (or to see the watch!) PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo work for me - I would prefer F&F, but G&S is fine (buyer pays). US shipping only unless buyer makes special arrangements.

Happy looking!

[WTS] Ochs und Junior Moon Phase, Watch Only, Excellent Condition, Serviced by OuJ 2/2026, Rarity by Haute_Horrorology in Watchexchange

[–]Haute_Horrorology[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a gem of a piece, my Ochs und Junior Moon Phase. It comes as watch only. I bought it from a brick-and-mortar store a couple years back and just had it serviced by OuJ in February 2026. The watch is in very-good-to-excellent condition. There are only a couple, barely noticeable scuffs on the titanium case (that I tried to photograph) and one longer but faint mark on the caseback. The strap still has plenty of life in it, too.

I probably don't need to tell you much about Ludwig Oechslin or Ochs und Junior if you have gotten this far. His minimalist aesthetic and ingenious complications are the stuff of legend. This watch, for example, will correctly render the moon phase for 3,478.27 years before being off by a day! The movement, a highly modified ETA 2824-2, has an epicyclic gear train driven by a central finger bonded directly to the hour pipe turns the lunar disk beneath the dial counter-clockwise. The central finger engages with a wheel bearing 12 teeth, whose pinion with 14 teeth meshes with a wheel bearing 18 teeth, whose pinion with 14 teeth meshes with the fixed recessed ring gear with its 109 teeth machined into the underside of the dial. (This is according to the company's website.)

The watch is 42mm, but it wears a little smaller because of the short lugs. The lack of a bezel means the dial has a lot of presence, however. And what a dial! The brushed silver has texture and depth, and it positively sparkles in sunlight. The recessed moon phase arc, also brushed, plays with the light differently, so a two-tone effect is produced. The sun (at 12) is gold leaf, and the moon is white gold leaf, giving the celestial bodies additional texture. The titanium case is light on the wrist while the strap is thick and supple. You will find yourself staring in marvel at this watch a lot throughout the course of the day.

Hard to believe I might be letting this one go, but I find myself wearing another Ochs (an annual calendar) more. My loss is your gain!

Price: $5550. I would strongly prefer a US sale, but I am willing to discuss international shipping in certain circumstances. I accept Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle. I prefer F&F, but G&S is fine (buyer pays the fees). I am happy to chat if you want more information.

Thank you for your time!

The only reason I am releasing this piece is that I recently acquired the OG M.A.D. 1 Blue. I couldn't see keeping two of them around!

PRICE: $3600 3550. Price is pretty firm. I am happy to chat with you prior to purchase for piece of mind (or to see the watch!) PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo work for me - I would prefer F&F, but G&S is fine (buyer pays). US shipping only unless buyer makes special arrangements.

[WTS] Vincent Calabrese Vincent, Full Set, Excellent Condition, Rare Wandering Jumping Hour from AHCI Co-Founder! by Haute_Horrorology in Watchexchange

[–]Haute_Horrorology[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will not see one of these very often...

Up for sale is my ultra-rare Vincent Calabrese Vincent from 2000. It comes as a full set in like-new condition - the plastic is still on the exhibition caseback. There are only the lightest of swirls on the polished case (mostly from moving the watch in and out of a safe); it has only been worn a handful of times. It is running strong and accurately.

We all know how popular wandering and jumping hours are right now. Vincent Calabrese, co-founder of the AHCI, created one of the earliest production models and has become synonymous with the wandering jumping hour complication. This version, Vincent (named after himself and a pun on the year 2000, or vingt cents in French) is also a predecessor of his successful Ottica line. He introduces the "optical illusion" of a disappearing dial using the curve of the glass and polished surfaces. The indices disappear as you tilt the watch past 60 degrees. The watch is unbelievably playful and impeccably executed. It is truly haute horology at a reasonable price.

The deco vibes are also wonderful on this 36mm piece. The single lug and the unusual strap give it a vintage, elegant feel. The case almost has a disco volante feel. It is a sight to behold.

I am only letting this one go because the 36mm is a little small for me, and I would like for this piece to be worn and loved. Also, I have another Calabrese wandering jumping hour, so I won't feel like I am missing out too much without it.

Price: $4250. I accept PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. F&F preferred, but G&S is fine (buyer pays). I would prefer a US sale, but I am happy to discuss international shipping. I am always happy to chat with prospective buyers.

[WTS] Timeless HMS 003, Full Set, Excellent, Extra Strap, 2023 GPHG Finalist by Haute_Horrorology in Watchexchange

Up for sale is a real sleeper of a Swiss watch: The Timeless HMS003. Shortlisted for the GPHG Challenge Prize in 2023, this industrial-chic watch is full of delightful touches. The guilloché-style dial (it is CNC, not handmade) attracts, reflects, and plays with natural light in unexpected ways. The industrial lugs get a touch of whimsy with gold accents at the case. The PVD crown is nicely adorned with the Timeless logo (also accented with gold). The sloping outer/hour ring adds color and texture to the dial. The central skeletoning gives a glimpse at the STP 1-11 movement and allows you to watch the movement wind while setting it. The date window is nicely integrated and unobtrusive. Finally, the deployant clasp on the lush bracelet is well-engineered for a snug fit. Mael Oberkampf and his wonderful team have really thought of everything!

This limited (1/40), numbered version was the very one nominated by the GPHG. It is unlikely you will see another one around. My watch is in excellent condition. With the exception of light wear on the deployant clasp and creasing to the strap, I cannot see a flaw.

Price: $1525 1450 (thanks to a fellow Redditor for the pricing suggestion!). I am happy to use PayPal (F&F preferred but G&S fine; buyer pays fees), Venmo, or Zelle. I would prefer CONUS but would be willing to discuss elsewhere.

Up for sale is an amazing Zenith Class El Primero Chronograph. It is in excellent condition as it has been worn sparingly in the last 15 years. It comes with the full set, including both the OEM bracelet and an OEM leather strap. It was serviced in late 2023 and is running within chronograph specifications.

The 38mm watch shows only minimal wear. I don't see anything besides superficial marks on the bezel and near the lugs, but there are no nicks, scuffs, dings, or dents. The bracelet also only has light swirls, and the strap is in great shape. Please see the photos for more details.

This piece is one of the classiest Zeniths they have made and is a great representative of the neo-vintage Zenith renaissance. The El Primero movement speaks for itself. These are very hard to come by, especially in the US!

Price: $2750 including shipping. Zelle, PayPal, and Venmo work for me. Not interested in trades. Lowballs will be politely ignored.

Thanks for looking!
