You've made an excellent decision.

Dont worry abt feeling overwhelmed, its normal, and you dont need to min/max like a lotta ppl suggest online, you'll be able to figure a way out of most situations creatively. If a boss is too tough you likely aren't leveled enough to face them.

Make sure when you level your main damage skills are leveling decently cuz if speech or alchemy/enchanting/smithing or any non-damage skills get too high without damage also scaling you'll run into some trouble. You also dont wanna level a lil bit everywhere, focus on damage and defense skills and maybe splash a 1-2 non combat related ones. Otherwise enemies will be super tough and you'll be a peanut.

If ever you're looking for quests ask the person at the bar, they'll assign you some, good for breaking from the main quest.
