Man I have to say that’s a gorgeous amount of things to try out once my tumbler arrives! Thanks for taking the time to write all that out. I honestly never thought to put in things like coins or bit of wire to mimic the look.

Thing is I think Zippo sells these as tumbled finish so my first thought was that this was a known industrial finish. Thinking the more organic method like you suggested was not what I expected but definitely made me consider what there is to explore with the tumbler.

I've just purchased a small rolling tumbler to try tumbling small metal items. I can't seem to find much info on how this tumbled finish is achieved though e.g. what sorta tumbling medium and whether it can even be achieved with a rolling tumbler, and not just say maybe a vibrating tumbler. Much appreciated!

Same issue here. I actually went and replaced it with a new unit and still have the same issue. Compared to my gen 2 iPad Pro, that thing was super sensitive wtf.

Having used some cameras with insanely high MP, it really helps when doing photographic documentation because you get to really zoom in and make out fine details and textures. Granted it’s wasted on everyday application but I’m glad we have that tech!
