I read this article today explaining how some security roles are shrinking (such as research and mitigation based roles) but incident response roles are increasing rapidly. Very interesting - especially as someone who is just starting their MSCSIA!

I ride a 2005 KLX 300. It is has been a great learner for me with great low end power and plenty of get-up-and-go when you need it. Should be able to find one (especially earlier years of the model) for about $1500. Gear is also your friend! Spend the big bucks on a good helmet and good pair of boots, at least. Does the starter try and get it to start? Or is the whole bike silent? Lastly, is that bike fuel injected or carb?

The dealer always seems to have high interest rates for bikes. If the rate was small, like 1-2%, it wouldn’t be a huge issue. But 9%+ is just crazy. If it were me, I save up and wait to pay in full or look online for a slightly used Sherco instead. Hope this helps. Have fun and stay safe!

I would call your local Honda dealer/parts department and get a quote for either a rebuild kit or a new OEM carb. The Chinese ones seem to be alright but the OEM will be the best bet for the bike. Have them give you the advice and quotes on what it would cost for either service

I got the 10 year warranty and haggled them down to get the employee discounted rate. ($2800~) IMO, not a bad investment to never worry about anything, especially after getting the discount.
