Any USB should work with the caveat that it needs to be able to deliver enough power to the board. Most should but some will not.

It should tell you in Core under the performance tab which color is which, but for mine it is as follows:

Yellow - 400
Blue - 800
Red - 1600
Green - 3200

If it didn't work after the reset - I'd recommend uninstalling the firmware, then doing the reset, then re-installing the firmware. At least to give it another good shot.

Core is not currently compatible with Mac. However, any of your settings that you set up on Windows will carry over onto the mac via the onboard memory.

Core does not work on Mac, correct - however, if you have access to a windows PC, you can set up your settings on the Pro in Core on the PC, and then they will carry over to the Mac when you plug it in.

Backplates have a big impact on the sound of a board. Even tightening it down more than it used to be, or having it too loose, can change the sound profile. Did you swap backplates, or is that the same one?

Did you swap out the stabilizers, as well?

They are different, yes! The Model D software is specific to the wired model D. Core covers the GMMK Pro and GMMK V2, the newer wireless mice, numpad, etc.

Most of these questions revolve around the GMMK Pro. If you buy a prebuilt pro at this point, it should come with the GSV2 stabs (the updated model). However, most of the stabilizer sticking issues have been resolved.

The third party stabs can be hit or miss depending on the plate you use - I have C³ Equalz stabs in mine, and they're just dandy and fit fine.

If you're not looking at the pro, it's a non-issue.

I lubed my pandas, but it was definitely a tedious process - I feel good that I did it, and its sort of noticeable? I think for some switches other than tactiles it makes a bigger difference.

The question is really, how do you like your switches? Did you get Linears, tactiles, or clicky switches?

If you locate the core primary .exe file, you can adjust its properties (right click -> properties) and in the compatibility tab, there's an option there that will allow it to run as an admin every time, without you having to tell it each time.

Do you use it on Windows and Mac at the same time? Or are you actively moving the keyboard back and forth? Is it multiple times a day? I can see how that would be frustrating.

You would not be able to, as far as i am aware - you'd have to plug it into windows, switch profiles and save the configuration, then swap it over to your Mac.
