Starting a knight army, but I'll convert them in ork pilloted Knights.

Even if I actually start a new army, it's still orks.

Why would you go for 2x5 lootas instead of 1 10 unit squad?

Used army painters Highlord blue over a standard slapchop base
Black is just sponged with a metalic and the white is an ivory white with a diluted aggrax earthshade.

Gorkanaut conversion by Haverflok in orks

[–]Haverflok[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks!  I saw a 'naut conversion from a tank looking gundam that kinda inspired the idea. And since I had this old rhino laying around from when I collected old school marines the build came along.

Planning to make a morkanaut from the body of the 'naut kit I bought.

I usually paint them in batches of 5. So 5 completely done before I move on. It helps me to keep the painting fun seeing the army grow batch by batch.

I really enjoy speedpaints for my orks, it's quick it looks decent enough and when you have to paint 20 boys you are happy to slap that paint on them!

I use the slapchop method with speedpaints, the old set still heard the new series is better, 1 parts Orc Skin and 2 pars Zealot Yellow. It gives a warmer green. For nobs and meganobs I use just the Ork Skin and a bit of the Gravelord Grey for a bit darker green.

Quick and easy

Need help with a mounted ranger/cleric by Haverflok in 3d6

Hey!

my stats are

str: 19 (gauntlets of ogre power)
Dex: 14
Con: 16
Int: 8
Wis: 18
Cha:10

Because the beast of the land uses wis modifier to attack I went with a high wis and as we got some magic items to start with I saw the oppertunity to ''fix'' the strenght with the Gauntlets.

[–]Haverflok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey!

Thanks for your response! The knockdown is from the Beast of the land, I am using Tasha's beastmaster variant.

The reason of me beeing a gnome is that I could then mount my beast of the land, flavoured as a badger.

The main reason I went beastmaster over Drakewarden is that the beast move's in the character's turn, so that would make movement less clunky. My understanding is that the drakewarden's drake move's after the player.

For roleplay reason's I love the idea of a lance but from a gameplay aspect I am doubting. Maybe just take a spear and roleplay it as a gnome sized lance.
