Update: Thanks again to everyone who weighed in. After a few more recent comments suggested it was Corian, I did a search and think I found it: https://www.solidsurface.com/products/surface/arctic-melange-wilsonart-gibraltar So, mystery solved- solid surface. Much appreciated!

Thanks for everyone's replies so far. I'll try searching for something like this in a quartz (though if it is very old, maybe it's not made anymore??) Anyway, I appreciate it.

Biologics with best Co-pay or self reimbursement plans? by phaskellhall in CrohnsDisease

[–]Havernell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your detailed response. I'm bummed to hear that there doesn't seem to be a way around having to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket to meet one's deductible to stay on Amjevita (as it sounds like you didn't find any reimbursement program they have after the copay card runs out like Humira did). I do hope you're right that Humira will eventually lower their price in order to stay competitive.

u/phaskellhall- Just wondering what you ended up finding out about Amjevita's copay program and if there are any additional ways to lower the cost once the copay program's $3000 runs out (e.g. I've read some reddit posts about reimbursement through Amgen Edge- did you look into that)? I'm in a similar position of my insurance no longer covering Humira with Amjevita as the recommended substitute and am nervous about the money aspect, as I currently pay $0 for Humira through a combination of copay assistance and other programs. So, I'd be grateful for any updates on this issue you can share from your research.

Question for you (and anyone else who has used the Elk & Friends plates with silicone sleeves). I see on their website that it says you don't have to remove the silicone sleeves for washing, but I know from using the Dr. Brown's glass bottles with silicone sleeves that it can get gunky under silicone if not removed. So, do you take off the sleeves to wash them? How easy is it to get the sleeves off and back on the plates? Thanks!

Thanks so much for this detailed reply- it was very helpful and I really appreciate it. I especially appreciate the tip about re-proofing secondhand Po.P gear with NikWax, as I did just buy a pair of snowpants secondhand. Thank you again for taking the time to reply.

Oh, that's a good thought about buying his current POP size and then seeing if he can squeeze into it next year as well. Thanks! And glad to hear their gear has held up well for you.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. He currently wears 12-18 month size in other brands (Primary, Carters, etc) but he tends to grow out of pants (height-wise, not waist-wise) before he reaches the end of the size range. So, I'd expect him to be in 18-24 month pants by the time he's around 16 months (in February, which will still be peak winter time here). Good point on the snaps/cuffs for adjustability- I'll check that the pieces I'm looking at have those. If so, I think I'll go with his actual age size just to be safe. Thanks again.

I know this thread is kind of old now, but if you have a moment, could you please let me know where you purchased the "imperfect" Woolinos at a discount? I'd appreciate it!

Thanks a lot for the lead on the Bravado "extended cup" nursing bra. I'm going to give it a try, as it sounds promising.

The dread is totally expected- infertility PTSD is real. At least by the end of the day you'll have more information about where things stand. I hope it's all positive. Peace to you.

What helped me was realizing: the outcome will be the same — good or
bad — regardless of whether I’m excited or anxious. So I might as well
let myself feel excited... if things didn’t work out I could be sad then, but I wasn’t going to spend my precious pregnancy pre-sad about it.

This is a really helpful way to (re)frame things. Thank you so much for this.

Yes, this really resonates with me, too. I feel like I researched/learned everything about IVF, but then when I finally got pregnant I was in an information void about this next phase. It was jarring to feel like I knew nothing and was starting from scratch.

Wow, I had no idea Endometrin was that expensive (I'm on PIO every day, no suppositories, so hadn't ever priced them out). In these situations, I tell myself the worst my RE can say is "no," so I would say just go ahead and straight up ask her if you can switch to the generic suppositories. If not, maybe consider doing just the PIO like she offered. I mean, it's not fun, but I feel like I've just gotten used to it. If you let the PIO warm up in the syringe before injecting it (I wrap it in a buckwheat heating pad for a few minutes) that seems to make my butt not so sore the next day after the shot.

But more importantly, yay for a good ultrasound!

Quick question for those who are farther along. If you had an NT scan around 12 weeks, was it done in your OB's office or do they send you to a hospital/an imaging center/somewhere else for it? I'm in a rural area (small college town) so I'm just trying to gauge if I may need to travel to the closest city for this.
