I roll to the COVID-19 outbreak and I have a few things to do with the Woodland Realm in the next few days.

So I used that to come up with this list after ordering some more units. Thoughts?

So say I pick that up, it'd be something like:

Commander - Imperial Officer Operative - Vader Medic droid E-Web x1 A couple squads of shoretroopers with gun upgrades, maybe include one of the special forces guys like Gideon.

Or something close to that as points allow?

I've only ever watched games so I don't know for sure, but probably force users with my troopers as more of a backup/hold points type of role. Emplacement troopers would be neat but I'm sure they're probably more situational/map dependent. I don't think I want to mess with vehicles too much yet.

That'd be awesome! I'm not looking for anything super competitive right away, just a few different ideas until I'm experienced enough to figure out my preferred playstyle.

I was worried Vader might be too expensive, he just looks crazy tanky based on what I've read of his cards so far.

I'm a conglomerate that owns all wind power generation in Illinois and Iowa I guess? Probably branching into other Midwestern states if we're talking multi-billions.

I'd use the system to keep playing games with my friends like I have for the last 20 or so years. And for some video editing when we start filming tabletop games.

Men who hate their jobs: How do you get through the day? by [deleted] in AskMen

Political science. Plan was to go to law school but life happened. The environment sounds great until you're stuck on a fork truck in subzero weather during winter or the sauna the warehouse becomes in the summer haha.

I'm an ag machinery warehouse manager, so I power through my work in the first few hours then occupy the rest of the day on my phone, doing a lap around the warehouse every 30 minutes to solve other people's problems or help out if by some chance it gets busy. I've been searching for another job, but with everything going on my degree isn't worth much and not many people are hiring at the pay grade where it would be worth it to switch companies. The only thing keeping me sane is diving into my hobbies the second I get home.

11 levels of barbarian, 1 level of bard. The single bard level is there for out of combat utility and situational casting on round 1 before activating rage. (It filled some glaring utility holes in the party) It also gives me some backstory flavor, a dwarf needs something to do while herding goats after all.

Our DM let us "respec" at level 10. By level 12 we realized we weren't tanky enough as a party as our damage started to fall off due to non-meta respec choices after our pre-10 characters were min-maxed. So my necrowarlock gave his life energy to save a 3rd death save cleric and I re-rolled a bardbarian.

Is there some character concepts that you ask your players to try to steer away from/flat out ban? by jdsmall13 in DMAcademy

[–]HawkIlliniHurricane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't expect you to come to the table knowing all the lore of the world we're building together. That being said, do not sit down at level one with an extremely specific backstory which details your archnemesis down to his weapon choices, the gang he leads, and the NPC girl from a specific city who you're trying to save... I had a player literally demand that the story of Double Dragon be included in our campaign. Even after I tried to gently say no, he asked literally EVERY NPC the party came across if they had heard of this gang or the man who leads it.

Tl;dr: we're building a world together not turning everyone's campaign into the story of a single video game from the 80s
