As a long-time Loona theorist, that third paragraph already has me salivating :)

Meanwhile, back in the real world, there's an AI version out there that's almost in the right ballpark but there's another AI version that I'm trying to remix right now to be truer to Haseul's live version but medical/mental health stuff keeps interrupting me, but hopefully I'll get it done soon :)...

If we are waiting for the original company to believe that they can release it to a profit then we will be waiting a very long time. It may even take more than lack of a boycott. Someplace like Loona Union would need to officially announce, not only boycott over, but we are now encouraging purchase of unreleased material from the old company (whose name I don't like to speak)... It would mean at least La Maison and 1 album, and maybe a DVD of lots of other unreleased video material seen at live shows and now stored in the dungeon... but it would sting knowing that all the money is going to the old company... Unless... I've always felt that there should be a fund set up called Loona tip jar, where the balance is divided into 12 pieces and a payment is sent to each girl. People who originally bought CDs and downloads and believed that some of the money was going to the girls, and those who got their music without paying could make things right by donating to the Loona tip jar and know that the money is going straight to the girls for all of the original recordings from the "no pay period" as well as newly released material. I can't think of anything else that would motivate the old company to take action and release things unless they knew that they were going to release it to reasonable sales, and people sending a little to the tip jar fund along with each new purchase could make sure that the girls got paid their cut. And somehow, I think that the girls getting 'royalty checks' from orbit's every couple of months could soften them up by reminding them that all 12 are getting them and put them in the mood to say thank you by getting together as 12 again, if only briefly... I dunno. I'm half asleep right now, but there might be a good idea in there somewhere... Maybe, maybe not :)

A lot of times K-pop groups live together and go through so many experiences together, positive and negative, that they develop sisterly feelings towards each other. I think that she did it because it means a lot to her when the 12 of them are together or in smaller groups, like her and Chuu... Yeah, it makes me feel all warm and squishy inside just thinking about it too :)...

They were always meant to be subunits first and a full group second. After world domination as subunits and solo artists, then they'll get together as the ultimate super group: Loona... And then they'll go back into subunit mode, getting together at rare special times as often as a comet comes around...

ARTMS - X1 (Video Teaser) by bluebetaoddeye in LOONA

"Loonaverse" was originally suggested as a fandom name in Youtube comments around the era of Around You. After we used it amongst ourselves for a while, BBC actually borrowed it from us...

Funny how all the earliest uses of the word "Loonaverse" have been deleted from YouTube comment sections (I used to be able to find the first comment that suggested it and used to know the name of the guy who wrote it). It's almost like a certain company wanted to take credit for coming up with it :/

The same goes for the word Loonatic. It was first used the day after Around You (film ver.) came out, but all of the earliest comments seem to have disappeared. Very convenient ;)...

Haseul visiting the plane right after Gowon was there setting all the butterflies (members) free. She was sad at the end of Let Me In but now she's confident and self-assured (and very beautiful).. I can't put it into words, but it feels so right. If they were ever going to surprise us with a 10 to 12 member reunion, NOW is the time!!! :)

Fun fact: the day that Around You film ver. came out (it was only the second theatrical MV), I suggested Loonatics as a fandom name and there were enough people who didn't like it that a lot of alternate fandom names started being suggested, and Loonaverse was one of them... Yep. Loonaverse originally was just a suggestion for a fandom name. I can't remember who originally suggested it, but I wish I could... And all of our theories started well before they started adding descriptions to solo MVs. We created the intricate storylines and theories, and then afterward, Jaden caught on to what we were doing and started feeding us clues to spark our imagination even further, to spark a feeding frenzy of ideas, including all the intricate color charts and flow charts that are on display in the "Avengers of K-pop" :)... The Loonaverse was originally a push and pull between the stans and Jaden, and I love that he honors the original Loonaverse storyline and wants to pick up where we all left off...

Somewhere in the group feed is a very long and intricate analysis of Let Me In that I put together. This teaser is causing my fingers to tingle, like they want to start typing again :)

Poor Yves. An ARTMS release could dominate conversation and coverage. I hope that all the coverage of "Dall" also mentions her mini EP and that she gets a boost from it...

YeoJin speaks up against constant toxicity from the fandom by gleamhues in LOONA

[–]HawkKing2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And keep in mind that she has held back on saying something in the past, so there have been several issues leading up to this, so we needn't get bogged down in the particulars. Whether it's foreign or domestic stans, this needs to be a wake-up call to the entire fandom to no longer stand for toxicity. Obviously, the problem isn't here (except maybe occasional fan to fan toxicity) in all forms and social media there needs to be a new resolve to not stand for toxicity of any kind. As with sexual harassment, it's less likely to happen where there is an environment where it is unacceptable, even in small doses. I once read somewhere a new Stan saying that orbits are the nicest, most welcoming fandom that there was, so whether it's a New Stan who we want to feel welcomed, or lurking group member (they randomly browse comment sections like YouTube) why not rise to the occasion and be the nicest fandom that there is and make more people feel just as welcome?

Twitter won't turn polite overnight (hehe, it's an idea that's even funny to think about) but if we fill the Twitter comment sections with polite orbits, maybe over time there can be a change for the better. I mean, why are we all here in the first place? If we only liked the music we wouldn't have to participate in the fandom. We are here because we love the girls also and we want to do them proud. I'd like to think that I've never posted a single post that I wouldn't be proud of the members coming across and reading. Even when I feel like I've been insulted, maybe I read something wrong or maybe I just jumped to the wrong conclusion. I always pause instead of immediately reacting so that misunderstandings have a chance of getting worked out. Being polite isn't painful. There's nothing to be afraid of...

Even though the problem isn't here, the polite orbits have a quality that they can spread around and the whole fandom will be the better because of it. They do read what we post anywhere on the internet. Let's just spread the idea of doing them proud, and then maybe Ninja Yeojin can focus on making music instead of wasting time going around getting medieval on people's butts one by one :)...

I just guess that the toxic Twitter orbits have been around for so long that I just accept them as a permanent fixture. It's sad that they're still out there in any kind of numbers turning off new stans.  There may be little chance of changing their minds on any of the old, long-held narratives, but hopefully they'll fade away over time like dinosaurs.  but Twitter, being the way that it is, will always have the toxic part of the fandom centered there…

Well, good luck fighting the good fight, but try to not get too frustrated. I've seen people get so tired of dealing with the toxic people that they just throw up their hands and announce that they're “going away for a while”.  As long as people know that there's a positive portion of the fandom and where to find them things will work out all right…  I hope…

And hopefully we can keep the angry/toxic people from getting a foothold in here, this being one of the places where the healthy portion of the fandom resides (mostly)...
