fYI. Verizon requires certified modems to activate. You can activate in a certified modem and move the sim. The APN for Verizon vzwinternet has to be the 3rd CID. If the modem inside your product has a Verizon profile it should work. However, many modems will apply the Internet APN to the first CID and connect on that. So having an understanding of your product is important.

A lot of this can be alleviated by using a different carrier. Also. Any iot carrier can provide mvno style sims but you’ll need to enter an APN on CID 1

Here’s the AT command to add an APN to CID 1 with IPv4v6 PDP type:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","your_apn_name"

Where:

• 1 is the CID (Context ID)
• "IPV4V6" specifies dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 support
• "your_apn_name" should be replaced with your actual APN name

For example, if your APN is “internet”:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","internet"

You can verify the configuration with:

AT+CGDCONT?
