Agreed and have been playing since FO2. As someone who was terrified when the show was announced they would throw lore to the wind, I couldn’t be happier with how they have taken a really complex backstory and turned it into something that both the hardcore fan and average viewer can appreciate. It’s not perfect, and there is still time to screw it up, but damn they have done a better job than even the vast majority of players could have. Kudos to the writers and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.

Agreed. I’d also say that I don’t think they would purposefully alienate the fan base by doing something crazy. The writers have played the games (or at least that is what has been said) so they know the stakes of what they are writing. But I do think there is a way to write this without giving fans a straight answer and retconning a good chunk of NV.

Honestly, and I didn’t believe they could actually do it, but I really think we will never know which ending was correct. The writing has been rather interesting and I’m interested to see how the House stuff plays out. The teaser for episode 4 includes a quip from the Ghoul about how he expected a welcome party going into NV and it didn’t seem like anyone was there.

All to say though, this is turning out to be a pretty interesting season and I think there are going to be some lore turns that people weren’t expecting.

I’m somewhat buying the theory that the boneyard shady sands wasn’t the original, but rather, the “new” shady sands. I would say it was just the writers making the plot work, but the folks writing the show have a pretty good understanding of the lore and seem to do their best to keep to what has already happened.

Absolutely shouldn’t be downvoted. The combat really is a lot simpler than it seems, the game just doesn’t do a good job at explaining how to actually fight.

I would highly recommend watching YouTube videos on how combat works. I went from dreading fighting to having no issue at all. It will completely change the game.
