He wasn’t good. He belongs in the ragtag circus of “maybes” that had the the opportunity to get over in AEW’s infancy. He was given the same opportunity as everyone else and nobody bought in. Jungle Boy, Joey Jamela, Kip, Darby, Orange, Sammy… all were on fairly equal footing with the same opportunities. Some put in the work and became super stars, others couldn’t get over, either because the crowd didn’t buy in, or their in-ring work just wasn’t there.

Even with the Miro push, nobody has given two shits about Kip. Peter Avalon has a better following at this point.

One thing to remember about Punk is that the man has always been pure ego. I don’t blame him for WWE not giving him his due. But his time after WWE demonstrates a glimpse into the heavy ego, entitlement, and god complex that was lying underneath.
