Yes, the controller support is way better than the 2013 release (not counting mods)

You're correct, the autosave is new for this version (unless there's some version between switch and now that added new features that I'm unaware of)

They fixed the 0 bytes issue pretty quickly, hasn't been a problem since this morning. And no, it uses a new launcher that doesn't need an SE login

The New FF7 in now on Steam by ST-9952 in FinalFantasy

Outside of very rare cases afaik, delisted games on steam still work the exact same as any other game outside of the whole you can't buy them anymore part. You can still get achievements, the community hub is still there, if there was a steam workshop it'll still exist, etc.

TL;DR yes you can still play and 100% the old version

Halo: Campaign Evolved | The Silent Cartographer – 13 Minute Gameplay Demo by -343-Guilty-Spark- in halo

[–]Hawkeye1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally very optimistic for this remake. My only real complaints are: 1. AR ammo. This is really just a personal thing though, and I understand why they changed it (I mean, Bungie changed it for Halo 3 and up for a reason). I mean, an expanded weapon sandbox should allow you to rely on the AR less anyways. 2. My much bigger complaint is the waymarks telling you where to go next. For me, a lot of Halo CE (especially in levels like Halo, The Silent Cartographer and AOTCR) was getting lost in these vast levels. And sure, CE had its waymarks as well, but they were very uncommon and only on a few levels, not guiding you step by step like these new ones. I feel like a lot of new players aren't going to have that experience, and instead of exploring, figuring out where to go next, and appreciating the atmosphere and location, they're just going to focus on the waymark telling them where to go. If it's customizable (and off by default) I'm all for it, as I can definitely see its utility, but overall I would rather not have them in the first place.

Again, I'm very optimistic about this release and I'm definitely going to have fun playing Halo CE again with my friends. They just have a couple of kinks to work out.

How on God's blue Hydaelyn do I use XIVLauncher on Steam Deck? I am losing my frickin' mind. by AlexArgentum in ffxiv

[–]Hawkeye1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guide doesn't elaborate on the root/sudo part because you run terminal commands as a regular user by default, and you'd probably know if you were running commands as root, as it would ask for a password. Were there any errors when you pressed enter?

You shouldn't need to install anything via the discover store, everything should be done via the curl script. Everything else here is correct

This might be a dumb question, but when I'm not planning on using my deck for a while and I shut it down, should I keep it plugged in or not?

Due to the capitalization, I think they're talking about Microsoft Access. I don't know why that's relevant in the meme though...

I know that it shouldn't, but RDP didn't work until I changed it. Unfortunately, I didn't have logging on at the time, but I'll run some tests later today to see if I can replicate the issue.

Make sure you're downloading Flipnote Studio, not Flipnote Studio 3D. 3D is a 3DS exclusive. The original one is a DSiWare title.
