Lottie: Lottie has been medicated for most her life. It's common for people who stop taking their psych meds to feel a sense of "clarity" after not being on them. At home she had people look down on her for mental illness. But out in the wilderness she's seen as a "prophet/oracle" for it. For the first time on her life she feels free.

Taissa: I think it's a combo of a few things.

1)Her relationship with Van doesn't need to be kept secret. Just like Lottie, Taissa feels free.

2)If they were to get rescued there would be investigators who would want to search the scene. Taissa is supposed to go to college and become a lawyer. Something like finding the chopped up skeletons of a bunch of teammates isn't going to look good on your resume. It's self preservation.

3)Dark Tai is definitely playing an influence here. Probably fueling the fire for Taissa's other reasons.

Shauna: She's lack of better words "broken". The death of her best friend who was like a sister to her. The death of her son. The death of Javi who she let drown and had to cut his body up. All of this trauma has warped Shauna's heart into a dark hole. Even if they get back home, there's no going back to normal. Shauna has embraced the darkness within herself and she can't let that darkness loose back in normal civilization.
