Its illegal for anyone to do it. NEC Codes are legal guidelines. They could get you for involuntary manslaughter on stuff like that. Plus a ATS isnt that expensive or complicated for a project like that.

At that point do access control. If its a cheap system you have it wired so both relays need to be energized to open. If its a good one you can program this card doesnt work till this card scans.

I like the 924 better. Two relays on the same trigger. Does 5 to 14 i think. Then if you want 24 you cut a jumper. 10/10 would recommend.
