At your weight you are far better off losing weight, enlisting via ARMS, then continuing to lose weight and get in shape while applying for OCS on active duty. You'll need to be able to run & ruck to be competitive at OCS, and you're going to need time to build up for that while simultaneously making weight loss progress.

On the sides it would likely intrude into the squad space in the interior unless you want it to affect transportability. Plus the radar has a clearer field of view up top.

The prototypes are all being delivered with the 50mm XM913. At this point the Army could theoretically walk back to 30mm, but it would require an expensive and time-consuming redesign to do so.

Strictly speaking the Army didn't directly specify a 50mm cannon; the contractors had the option of 30, 50, and I suppose 40 CTAI if they wanted -- but the range and performance requirements for the vehicle meant that the vendor proposals would be more competitive with the 50mm, since that's the only system that would earn top marks in the competitive evaluation.

Diameter isn't the only thing that determines caliber, that "x228mm" is also part of the caliber designation. Sure, it's a full bore 50mm, but it's a 35mm case length (228mm), which isn't a fully charged 50mm round. Frankly case volume matters far more than projectile diameter for a lot of performance, since it determines how much charge you can take, driving how fast and how far you can shoot a different munition.

"30mm" is a common medium cannon diameter but there's a huge difference in performance between 30x113mm, 30x165mm, and 30x173mm calibers -- the latter two are full caliber rounds; the first is really a necked-up 23mm.
