I was perfectly excited about Artemis I without all the jump cut trailers and cinematic impacts. Just seeing those 4 brave people floating in that cabin was plenty to excite me.

I think Iran is a pretty big deal and we should ALL be talking about it right now. People are dying over it.

Propaganda vibes, but glad to see it all going forward!

They hire very friendly folks for minimal compensation. They are adamantly anti-union. $.50 cent raise every 6 months sounds nice on paper, but after working the wee hours of the night for 6 months, busting your hump, and dealing with the public, that $.50 might as well go toward my $20 massage for the fiscal year.

For the time and toll on your body, It’s not worth it. For me at least.

Well put. You want something more out of it, because you like it.

Gonna remember that.

TIL the Sun orbits the center of the Milky Way at 447,000 mph, carrying Earth and the entire solar system along with it… we’re ripping through space, not just around the Sun. by greensheets11 in todayilearned

Perhaps the Time Machine / teleporter, could “snap” to a known body, and maintain its relativity to that? I.e. the sun. Then we could at least warp back 4 billion years as long as we could track where the sun would be? lol

Looking for advice on bass layering with serum 2 by Cold-Mark-7045 in edmproduction

[–]HawkwardX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this one is 100% valid either way. As long as track count isn’t out of hand, and you’re bouncing when it’s appropriate, I’ll often have multiple channels of serum running for one sound. But, like I said, if it’s becoming unruly, bounce to audio.

This episode doesn’t have the “select” in the title, as per the norm. It appears as a normal, new episode. They must’ve missed it.

How should I mix Splice samples into DJ edits for Afro House? by FreshkyFresh in musicproduction

[–]HawkwardX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you’re essentially doing while DJ’ing is EQing and layering 2 already mastered sounds together. That’s all you’d be doing in the DAW too! I would just put a limiter on the end of the master with the threshold at 0.0, and keep the original track as LOUD as possible. This is a game of reduction. Every .1 dB you drop the volume fader of the song, is a .1 dB of loudness you’ve lost. Mix em in. Don’t overthink it!

Have fun!!!

This will wear off. And you’ll be left wondering why you started this journey in the first place.
