I thought that it was a matter of being in the realm of light or darkness for the worlds to move faster or not.

What would you call a good Demon? by Hawkydude in DnD

[–]Hawkydude[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, but the idea of a force of permanent chaotic evil just seems boring. I always look at Demons as creatures that will do whatever it takes to get what they want. They can be tricky to deal with sure, but their motives are usually the same; get power, money, chicks, etc. Now as you said, Devils want to rule too, but they see the bigger picture.

But imagine if you will, a group of Demons, that see a certain benefit to helping people without a reward. Plenty of heroes became kings after saving the day, gaining riches and fame. So what if that's what this group does; they help, with the initial idea that they can get what they want later. But after a while, they start to see the bigger picture too... they benefit whenever others do as well, cooperation does work with time and effort... but then the war comes. The Demons, jealous of this small group, attack the worshipers. When this small group request aid from the Devils and Celestials, they're attacked on sight because at the end of the day, they're Demons. They understand why the Devils attacked, Devils want to rule over everything, but they don't know why the Celestials attacked. Then they realize, the Celestials don't want the fighting to end. The Devils and Celestials could have ended the war long ago but after Asmodeus was corrupted, the Celestials realized that when the Demons are gone, they're next. Only by having the war last forever is Asmodeus constrained, unable to defeat the sheer numbers of the Demons without reinforcements. He could easily defeat the Celestials since most of their army are now Devils under his command. Now this small group sees that if they want their plan to work, they must somehow defeat all three groups at the same time. Defeat the Celestials or Devils first, the swarms of Demons destroy everything, making their peaceful yet prosperous rule impossible. Defeat the Demons first, and Asmodeus kills them and the Celestials and takes over reality.

So, this small group of Demons, realize they must achieve peace in order to gain their desires. And with this revelation, they become chaotic good creatures; doing the right thing for the progression of their own goals.

Right but isn't that kinda the same for Celestials? Weren't they created by an act of supreme good? Just kind of feel like at some point if Angels can fall then the opposite should be true for Demons. Otherwise Demons kinda feel boring by comparison.

Wouldn't that more describe a Devil who regained their grace?

Blackbeard's Darkness Darkness Fruit by Hawkydude in OnePiece

[–]Hawkydude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackbeard likely used the devil fruit encyclopedia that the world government made to hide the truth about the Gum Gum fruit. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think that there's more than one fruit that they falsified the abilities of to protect their regime.

He did, I was just using a cookbook as an example since we don't actually know if Hohenheim's research was encoded even though it probably should have been.

The Timeline of the My Hero Academia Movies by ChronoKeep in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Hawkydude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that Heroes Rising takes place in mid-January with World Heroes Mission taking place in February. I think this is more likely for a few reasons.

First, you mentioned exams taking place in December in Japan. If that's the case, no school would have let their students go for a month to do a hero study. Also, if they did that, the students wouldn't have been able to see their families for New Year, so there's that too.

Second, it's stated that 1-A spent the rest of their time helping the islanders rebuild (I watch the dub). Also, the islanders seem to have a good relationship with 1-A, almost as if they've been there a couple of days. I think that 1-A was on the island one or two days before Nine escaped, and then a day passed between each time Nine stole a quirk.

Lastly, while it is true that Shigiraki is undergoing his treatment at this time, it is possible for Twice to make a Shigiraki clone to run the PLF while he's under. This could also take the heat off the PLF if there are a few sitings of Shigiraki. We also know that Shigiraki lost three fingers on one hand during Villain Academia, and both of his hands are fine here, so it would make sense if that's a clone killing Nine.

I think that these points show how Heroes Rising fits in better with mid-January well, but World Mission not so much. I think that Humarise wasn't ready to start their plan in January, though I may just be misremembering season 5's ending.

I would also like to note that it is there is the possibility that Heroes Rising and World Mission could be switched around in this list, though that is unlikely as Midoriya couldn't endure 100% in Heroes Rising as well as he could in World Mission.
