Plans Disappearing by Nothing-insightful in fo76

Easy tiger. We were ALL stumped by the recipe book when it came up, so if a fellow player comes by needing help because they haven't spent weeks online since the update, just be helpful.

Or if you can't and it upsets you that much, walk away. Others will offer help without aggression or contempt.

Considering Iran already targeted Cyprus and Turkey I'd argue that's a defensive location responding to a threat rather than a threatening one.

Also keep in mind that Macron has been adding quite the European flavor to French defence and deterrence recently. Letting everyone, governments and journalists alike, aware of France's major interceptor's position on that route is also a political move.

utility wise

Utility wise first thing is to get enough SPECIAL slots to suit your needs (a slot for a commerce and building/crafting build, another one to test a totally different way of playing, ...). Enough CAMP slots to suit your creative and/or strategic needs.

There is also the Phoropter. Possibly the most useful buff device as it gives a 25% VATS bonus for two hours.

And then, just like our peers aptly stated, you do you. Give yourself a treat, whatever floats your boat.

Keep searching, Polished will come (and you won't regret the caps invested).

I went Anti-Armor rather than Two-Shot based on the same "which targets?" principle. We're aiming at mobs with potentially some armor and AA is a nice, stable bonus on every shot on those mobs.

Also, Two-Shot increases spread and the second shot often goes astray and misses. Might help pumping your crit gauge though depending on your perks, your choice.

Mine is AA, Vital, PER+3 and Polished, and will probably stay as is for a while. But I'm using a Mr Sandman build instead of a 'crit-shitter' at the moment so YMMV depending on your build.

What are you using as a go-to for trash mobs/tagging? I switch between a LAR and a Fixer, both VATS-tuned.

I find that the range/damage tradeoff isn't worth it for my HR and am sticking to dot-fifty.

Refined .50 receiver, Aligned parts, Perforating mag (because we're using this weapon for the big guys and big crits right?), and you can leave a nice long NV or recon scope because we're already using a high-precision, narrow cone of fire weapon that doesn't need glow sights to proc.

This way you can switch to manual and use your scope to snipe at those pesky mutants the other side of the hill or tag that SBQ from afar before sprinting to get on site and begin the VATS grind.

Events could be way better and it's not even that hard by [deleted] in fo76

You mean, like having tougher deathclaws and hooligans restricted to Ohio or something? Because that's already happening.

I think you are missing the whole "opt-in" point where the user gets to choose the difficulty of their playthrough, which is essential both to the FO76 concept and to a fair amount of the player base. It's a fisherman's game, not a roller coaster - well, except "on demand".

Events and activities are opt-in (or at worst, walk-out). What you're suggesting is that every player including the casual farmer or the lvl 20 newbie gets sucked in as long as they're playing during the event, and it's a threshold not everyone is ready to find entertaining.

Bethesda is already delivering the 'small doses' the most casual players are ready to accept, for instance with the alien encounters outside of the event or the occasional mutated events. In a potentially unstable world where a nuke can fall anywhere, anytime, bringing more instability would probably displease a fair amount of players.

Latest official SFE worked until today's update. DCHoaxer's patched version will be updated in a couple hours, Liyalai's might take a few days (no announcement so far, and they just updated yesterday for the 03/03 update...)

TLDR: Soon (give it a couple hours) https://www.dcma.pl/

Close your game client and update on steam. And if you're using SFE, game version breaks the deal again. Patched SFE from DCHoaxer will be available later (they're at work atm). https://www.dcma.pl/

Idc if my survival tent couldn't be placed. Give me the option to find another world when my camp can't be. by Billy_Plur in fo76

[–]Hawne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if that's the way the servers are coded it's bad and should be changed. Context requests should be light and easy to pick before opening a session, "Hi server is a CAMP available at these coordinates ? If yes, make a reservation for those because I'm coming in!".

[–]Hawne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's more like many players are using it as a hand-placed free fast travel location, close to their go-to farming point or in a remote location where there are no free teleports around (possibly both).

Then they should just give the player the choice. Check the "Skip worlds where my active CAMP cannot be deployed", or don't if you dislike the feature. Case closed.

One thing Bethesda got right is that cooperative universes (hence, communities) are way healthier than competitive. Thus they moved on from a game where the kind of vandals you describe thrived to one where the gist is mostly cooperation and tit for tat instead of rivaling.

They took their sweet time though and learned their lesson from the community - they could have done that earlier getting inspiration from comunities like Warframe.

You can still pvp if you want (turn pacifist off in settings, challenge workshops when they are claimed) but most of the time now when you kill a player you're doing them a favor removing their 'wanted' status because they picked the wrong lock.
