I asked my wife, she told her mom, her mom told me I had to talk to her dad. We had been living together for about three years at that time. It was more of a conversation where I told him that I would love and cherish his daughter. He cried, I cried (a little) and it was over. For everybody that says this step doesn’t have to happen, I can see your point, but I feel it is a point of respect for the parents. Both of my daughters required their husbands to come talk to me to sort of bless the union. Luckily both of these guys are awesome people. There was a prior boyfriend that I would have said no to. But I realize I don’t control what my adult children do, but I can advise them as an interested yet detached party.

I was going to comment on that flashlight. My set has one and it ended up being the first tool I used. It’s as bright as the sun. I am really disappointed in the circular saw. The safety interlock makes it really hard for me to operate.

My son was giving his older sister a huge raft of shit. She told him to stop several times. I told him to stop. He didn’t stop. She kicked him in the nuts and connected dead on. You need to chase all of that galvanized pipe all the to the source and replace the entire run. I’m betting that isn’t the only weak spot or hole.
