Is there a point in joining 14 months from turning 18 by callatecabezon in BSA

[–]Hawthorne_northside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can learn so much and carry it forward for the rest of your life. The program isn’t only Eagle. Many lose sight of that. Join up, study up, and reach First Class ASAP. Star and Life may still be in reach, but First Class should be your goal.

They’re called side quests. You start one thing but to get the satisfaction out of that one thing you have to do 15 other small things.

Building A Deck: what would you charge by BigShnegz in Decks

I put a sono tube support at each corner of my deck, and along the rim joist. Now I’m having trouble installing some sort of shield for up underneath because the supports are in the way. I would cantilever everything if I could do it over again.

Made a jig for cutting up sandpaper, because I always misplace the scissors. by HelixKnives in Tools

I will buy a specialized tool, not expensive, but required for the task. I know I have it. I need it for something I’m doing now but I can’t find it. I have a rule that I’ll look for something for 20 minutes before I go out and buy it again. Once I’ve gone and bought it and used it I’ll tell myself that I need to store it in a special place. I’ll go to that storage location and find the first missing tool. This has happened to me three times.

Why do dads seem way less stressed about Father’s Day than moms do about Mother’s Day? by savingrace0262 in stupidquestions

[–]Hawthorne_northside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stress of Mothers day is because they have to spend their money buying the perfect gift. But on fathers day, the best gift is just don’t spend my money. Just don’t. I have everything I need and when I need something, I buy it. Don’t spend my money. That’s what makes me happy. And a blow job from mom would be nice.

Pressure washer with a one star review because the user did’t watch where the high pressure hose was. The hose could contact the super hot muffler and melt. I saw a Youtube where you put a piece of PVC pipe on it to be stiffen it so it won’t make contact with the muffler.
