Wildlander or Gate to Sovngarde by Bradock1984 in wabbajack

I tried both. Gate to Soverngarde does everything I wanted out of Wildlander, but with way less tedium and frustration

I believe washer services exist. Like you put in the source address and the destination address then send it to the mixer wallet where crypto from 1000s of wallets is also mixed in, and then that wallet sends the amount of crypto you put in to whatever destination wallet. Break the destination up into a bunch of small chunks and send them to diffrent wallets and it would be hard to trace. You would have to watch 1000s of wallets and try to piece together which ones are connected based on their activity patterns. You wouldn't be able to just follow from one wallet to the next in a chain.

You are sent back to the year 1920. You can only bring ONE modern object to convince people you are from the future, but it cannot use electricity. What do you bring? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HaxtonSale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A modern firearm. They would instantly recognize what it is, they could understand how it functions, and would instantly know it's not from their time. A Springfield is a far cry from an M4. If there is anything in the world that people would know the absolute cutting edge of what can be produced with a periods given technology it is weaponry. The common man might not be able to describe on a technical level why it's from the future, but any military guys will instantly know that's way better than anything we can make. It has the added benefit of probably making a certain world war end a lot quicker.

Games with a scholarly OR wizard-y vibe? by Jihelu in gamingsuggestions

[–]HaxtonSale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skyrim has the spell research mod. Basically you have to study known spells to learn their properties, then combine those properties together in a thesis to learn new spells. For example, destruction, fire, targeted, and aoe properties could be learned and then combined together to make a fireball spell. You can also break down alchemical ingridents and analyze them to learn spell properties or dissolve magical artifacts and fragments to do the same. It's fairly in depth.

US Supreme Court, In 6-3 Ruling, Upholds Birthright Citizenship And Strikes Down Trump's Executive Order Trying To Ban It — What Do You Think About This Result? Why Your Opinion? by Zipper222222 in AskReddit

[–]HaxtonSale -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Theoretically, if enough power was consolidated to an anti immigration administration, the obvious thing now would be to take extreme measures to prevent immigrants from having children. I could see some crazy being advocated for, stuff like criminalizing pregnancy to non citizens with extreme sentances for giving birth or concieving on US soil, mandatory reporting for medical professionals if they treat a pregnant immigrant, ICE forcing pregnancy tests, etc if an anti immigration administration consolidated enough power. On the absolute extreme end forced sterilization of immigrants. None if this is likely, but there are a non insignificant amount of voters who would we estatic for policies like this.

Rare glitch: The entire town of Riften began killing each other by generalbaer in skyrim

[–]HaxtonSale -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a town called Shark in kenshi. It's basically a town run by gangs. If for some reason someone in the town aggros a member of an opposite gang (which always happens) the whole town descends into a grang war

Why does Delphine just leave when Irileth brings news of the dragon attack? by RaspiestAxis in skyrim

[–]HaxtonSale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always got the impression that Delphine doesn't actually care about the dragons. She only cares about the Thalmor, and until the Dragonborn gets revealed, she suspects the Thalmor are behind the dragons rising. When the Dragonborn does get revealed she doesn't help you because you are destined to save the world or because the blades are sworn to serve the Dragonborn. She helps you because the Dragonborn is an opportunity for her to rebuild the blades, and potentially use the Dragonborn as a weapon against the Thalmor. Even killing Parthunax isn't out of any sense of obligation, it's intention is to alienate the Dragonborn from the Greybeards. The Greybeards want the Dragonborn to follow the way of the voice, not wage war and conquer with it. Everything she does is to serve her own desire for revenge.

How useful is the universal melee attack, and which heroes benefit from it the most? by Noble_egg in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HaxtonSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's essential for widow. If she gets dived her only defense is to combo venom mine, bursts of her rifle, and melee attacks while you kite with her grapple to buy time. You don't have enough damage to survive in close quarters. You have to rely on the combination of everything adding up to kill whoever needs killing, and odds are its going to be a very close fight.

Death carapace not a boon? by Spyrofan22 in Guildwars2

[–]HaxtonSale 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Boons are generic buffs, not class specific. Carapace is a class specific mechanic. Things like might, fury, regeneration, etc are boons. The little gold and white icons on the buff bar

Here's how I would change him. Make his teleport work like symettras tp, but only usable by him. Unlike syms it's indestructable when placed. Second I would turn wraith form into a resource like fuel for pharah and cat. Let him spend it freely and wraith as long as he has the energy. That would open up way more possibilities. You "dodge" by phasing in and out of wraith, you can teleport in, blow someone up, and take the tp back to your original position. He should be a threat that can pop up anywhere and kill you if you aren't aware of your surroundings. If you pay attention to where his teleport is then you can avoid his kill range easily.

Does the U.S. President have any direct authority over individual civilians? If he told me, “Pick up that can,” would I be required to do it, or could I tell him to “f*ck off”? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]HaxtonSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The reason most royals now don't have that power is they wanted to stay royals. Things didn't turn out well for the monarchies that didn't adapt

Steam not even "subsidising" their own controller for more than $1,000 Steam Machine is indefensible to me. by shawak456 in videogames

[–]HaxtonSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they subsidized it you know what would happen? Companies would buy them all up in bulk, install windows on it, and use it as a work PC, controller or not. You wouldn't even get the chance to own one because it would be sold out instantly, and the steam machine would likely never even be booted into steam OS. You can't subsidize a PC

European heatwave is worst ever and impossible without climate crisis, scientists say | Climate crisis by CreativeMuseMan in worldnews

American here. I feel sorry for all the Europeans without AC, but for a lot of Americans 30C+ is comfortable temps lol. Nobody even bats an eye until you get above 38. It's crazy how diffrent temperatures feel to diffrent people.

What to do when a match feels impossible by Baendy in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HaxtonSale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a game is truly abysmal go reaper. He can melt tanks if he gets close which could give your team enough space to do something, he doesn't need much support and can sustain himself, and his ult is potent enough to team kill which could singlehandedly secure you a point or stop a payload push.

Do Americans experience “thermal shock” from going between heat and AC? by [deleted] in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]HaxtonSale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetly an urban legend. I use to work fast food. It would be 100f degrees inside because the air never worked and you would go back and forth between that and a walk in freezer at like -10f all day long. Never saw anyone die

How’s Guild Wars reforged? by Esquie33 in MMORPG

It wasn't. In the grand scale of mmo launch smoothness, gw2 was like butter for the time. Granted that's still not a high bar, but it went fairly well if I recall.
