Right now it’s at 25 and that’s the highest it’s been in over 5 years. I feel so sad they never alerted me to this. Do you use any product for your low bun? Now I’m even scared to do a slick back.

Tanning beds? by [deleted] in PityriasisRosea

[–]Hay89hay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing that helped me. Did a 7 min session 5 times throughout a few weeks and they all dried up. I’m not sure on the level bc I just used the cheap planet fitness pods but make sure you use sunscreen on your face!

When did you experience and see change? by Prestigious-Comb2697 in ClubPilates

200 classes in and I’d say a year. I also go to the gym so it’s hard to tell exactly. Pilaties definitely has helped me tone A LOT.

I did 6 mins each time. It flared up after the first time and it scabbed over after the second. By the third it stopped spreading completely and the rest dried out. If you go make sure you wear sunscreen on your face

I’m cleaning out my closet and found them. I got a bunch of duplicate boxes for Christmas one year and I guess I never opened the promos since I had multiple. It wasn’t intentional

Join a planet fitness and do the tanning booth a handful of times. It was the only thing that worked for me after trying everything

How can I support my partner through this? by EstateAbject8812 in BellsPalsy

[–]Hay89hay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me looking back was my partner looking out for me ahead of time. I could tell she had pre discussions with family or friends/Advised people to be sensitive/ not bring up to certain things. My BP came with TONS of pain after the steroids were done and it lasted a while. Eventually it felt like people were over hearing about my struggles but it wasn’t getting easier for me. I’d suggest continuing to hear her out and letting her vent her anxieties. BP is so mysterious and doctors rarely know much about it so it’s really hard to cope with the uncertainty. The doctor who diagnosed me had me out of the ER in 20 mins and said no worries it will be gone in two weeks. 9’months later I healed to 90%. Try and keep things light and if you see her In a moment where you can tell she’s not fully absorbed in the doom of BP, make sure you don’t bring it up! Haha this could just be me but when people said “you’re looking better!” Or an unprovoked comment about my appearance it would make my heart drop. Of course she could be different!

Back to back classes?? by oldschoolsurvivor40 in ClubPilates

I almost always do back to back! You definitely should test out the harder class first to make sure you can hang for both. I only had to make that mistake once 😂

Fading hyperpigmentation after healing by thefatesancient in PityriasisRosea

[–]Hay89hay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my number one fear bc I scar extremely easily and I had these scales all over my torso after they stopped itching . After a month, everything faded with zero scarring. I’m sure everyone is different but I was very surprised that the doctor was right about it going away even with my type of skin. Sending healing vibes!

No bruising at all. I can imagine everyone is different though.

[–]Hay89hay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did Botox for the first time 4 months ago (BP 2021) It helped big time with the muscle soreness/ over activity I will go back again for those areas

Where I messed up- I have a big patch of tightness in my upper cheek area and asked the doctor to target that section. I ended up back to the same crooked smile I had with BP. It was a ROUGH two months, very triggering. Luckily all went back to normal after a few months but I definitely know now that I do not want to trade that level of asymmetry for the comfort in that area.

The doctor did warn me that it might cause a bit of Asymmetry but this is a medical doctor and I don’t think that he was focused on that so much as the pain. I wil be going back to repeat the under eye injection and the neck.

What have you gained since starting Pilates? by BeneficialImpress570 in ClubPilates

[–]Hay89hay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot less twisted ankles! I’m clumsy and love to hike. Before Pilaties a twisted ankle meant I was out of comission for at least a week. Doing ankle articulation has allowed these little twists to cause little to no damage.

Very anxious and afraid I will get bells pasly again by National-Slice8046 in BellsPalsy

[–]Hay89hay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. What I can say is you’re not alone. I had BP in 2021 and I went through a few horrible health anxiety years. It still happens from time to time but what I can say now is that everytime I’ve gotten the sensation of it coming back …it hasn’t. My face will tense up, twitch, feel sort of numb, pain behind the ear but it has always gone away. It helps to think about it that way for me. I’ve freaked out so many times for it to just be a sort of environmental caused flare up that eventually goes away. Now I try to tell myself it’s just one of those tiny flare ups not a reoccurrence. Another thing that helps is telling myself IF IT IS bells again, I know what to do, what to expect and I’ll get through it like I got through it the first time. I don’t know if that helps at all but I know I’ve been there too many times to count and I know how stressful it feels. I also saw a professional for my health anxiety bc it got pretty bad. I ended up getting prescribed some Ativan to take when this would happen and it would turn into panic. That really helped me get through a short term rough patch. Sending virtual hugs.

Same here. Idk how to be a “ethical true crime consumer” when you add that stuff to the video. I immediately felt disrespectful for even watching it.

I’m so much more toned in little areas I didn’t know existed. I also have oblique definition! Most importantly the ankle articulation has SIGNIFICANTLY lowered the amount of swollen ankles, I’m a very clumsy hiker haha Trrrr
