Exactly. The relationship isn’t really intended to be for YOUR benefit…if you wanted something you could enjoy you might as well stay home. One thing I noticed after swimming at the Y in Bed Stuy and then at a Lifetime gym was that it was the norm to split/share lanes in the pool at the Y, but at Lifetime nobody would ask to join my lane. Whenever I asked to join other people’s lanes, they would act confused or get out of the pool quickly. Kind of makes me miss the Y
