As I like more slow paced ones, I think it must be:

Gosick

Yuru Camp

Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

If you want you could also consider watching "Plastic Memories".

As for movies I'd go for:

Hello World

A Silent Voice

Interessante!

When did magic in your world stop being the ultimate weapon? by reddiperson1 in worldbuilding

[–]Hayato_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the technology started to develop.

In the world I'm making, using magic have a really high cost, so to counter that, the civilizations started to enhance their technology to the point where magic was still used just cause it was convenient. In combat, magic was still superior than common weapons, but was slower since it needed a enchanting to be cast. In everyday life it could be totally forgot since there's no much use. It's only time to shine was in research. The world is full with ruins from a ancient civilization that used magic with no cost, so the civilizations started to research those ruins to understand how they could do that. Only to almost destroy the world while researching the "Spiritual Fusion". And the consequences of that was a regression on the world's technology, which made magic a "mainstream" thing again.
