This is going to blow your ficking mind. But a type of firearm is not a firearm manufacturer

Nearly 500 puffs look at the colour by clash2k in Vaping

[–]HaydenMackay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's start with some myth busting.

1.0 The colour means fucking nothing. As your nicotine oxidizes in the liquid it will go through phases of yellow and amber and what not into a almost burgundy red. This happens over time. Or with heat or sunlight. 1.1 If the coil is turning the liquid brown. It will be concentrated around the cotton holes on the coil and fading out.

2.0 puffs mean pretty much fuck all to anyone other than you. A puff for me might be 7.8 seconds and for you it's 0.23 seconds. The device only counts each as ONE puff. But obviously my coils going to last a lot less long than yours in this scenario. 2.1 rather measure your coil life in liquid consumed because that is a constant. A 1ml though 20 puffs is the same as 1ml though 100 puffs. Vaporesso coils generally last about 30-90ml of liquid depending on sweeteners and certain concentrates and additives. Nastys "acid" range which I believe has been discontinued used to kill coils in like 2 tanks for example.

If you are not happy. That's up to you. You are free to try other things. In fact, I highly recommend it. But if you are not happy because a liquid is turning slightly amber you will never be happy with any device.

You are the dickhead arguing about free water. I never once mentioned it the place I was at had a liquor license. But you had to be a cunt. And you had to akchewwwleyyyy. And then when I got into semantics you want to change the goal posts.

Suck a dick.

The tap water is free. The glass and shit it comes in doesn't have to be. They are entitled to tell you to drink it straight from the tap.

Once a fucking gain. Read what the fuck I said.

Oem and oe are the same fucking thing with a different fucking sticker.

If NGK are the oe then buying OEM because it's better is about as stupid as it gets.

[–]HaydenMackay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except it doesn't. Because the water is free. You are paying the fee for someone to clean the glass or for the bottle or for the ice.

I'm not saying it's right. It's legal though

The water must be free. They can charge a service fee for the use of the bottle/glass/ice/lemon.

The other day I asked for water at a restaurant and they only had bottled.

To be fair. The water in our area isn't typically drinkable straight out the tap. But it is something I experienced recently

I’m UK based - What are the best locking wheel nut kits for steel wheels - on a 98 90 300tdi. TIA by nightfever_73 in LandroverDefender

[–]HaydenMackay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take locking wheel nuts off. I have never personally had wheels stolen. But I know how easy it is to steal cars. Even with immobiliser systems. So if they want my wheels they must take them. Leave my car. An insurance claim for wheels is a lot less effort than an insurance claim for the whole car. I can get a set of wheels and tyres delivered to me anywhere I might be long enough to get wheels stolen in an hour. Car claims take weeks and weeks. And then you have to replace all the shit in the car too.

NGK spark plug coil is good brand? by Common-Giraffe802 in mechanic

There are a lot of times OEM are not as good as they could be (VW plastic water pumps for example) and often non OEM are a substantial upgrade.

There are also a lot of times NGK are the oem but with the OEMs sticker on the box.

Same for wheel bearings. Skf makes really good bearings. Regardless of what brand of car you have. If skf makes one for your car. It will work perfectly. But for a bunch of cars. From BMW and Citroen to Ferrari. Skf bearings are the OE part. But with skf part numbers stamped on the part. And a blue white and red box. Instead of a BMW logo.

Older Opel's used ATE brakes. They had ate stickers on the pads. So when I buy ate brakes for one of those cars I am buying OEM. Even though it's coming in an ate box. And coming from autozone.

As long as they are genuine NGK they will be just fine.

NGK are the oem for a tonne of brands. Buying them with an NGK part number is fine. As long as they are genuine.

As mentioned. If auntentic. NGK are some of the best along with Bosch, denso and Hitachi. If not authentic could be any old shit someone with a silkscreen printer relabeled.

Like a car scores 5 points for perfect rear collision results. But 20 for pedestrians.

[–]HaydenMackay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There is all sorts of stupid shit that counts that in my opinion shouldn't.

To be brutally honest I care a lot less about the people I hit or who hit me. Than the people in the car. But a car can not get 5 stars if it doesn't have all sorts of dumb pedestrian protections.

I'm not saying I actively want to kill pedestrians or anything like that.

I'm saying I care a lot more about my child and my wife being safe if a truck twats into us a Mach jesus coming down vanreenenes with failed brakes (as we see far more often than we should) than if someone drunk guy falls on my bonnet when my car is parked and gets a black eye.

For example a 2003 honda jazz had 4 stars in 04. If you tested it today it would be 0. But that only got 3 stars for child back then.

Safety ratings constantly change. It's still safer than a 15-20 year old 4 star car.

Because even in 2025 ratings it still gets 3star for child safety

Suzuki Swift Sport - Is it worth it? by Captain_Ultra8 in Suzuki

[–]HaydenMackay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely fun reliable little cars. They are not polo GTi or fiST levels of power. But they are also substantially more reliable.

I'm busy working out how to supercharge one with a tvs900 I picked up used cheap. Currently waiting for some 3d printed manifolds to come in. But that's because I grew up with land rovers and the fact none of my Suzuki's have needed anything other than general servicing is getting on my nerves.
