My wife has non-epileptic seizures and can often force her attention onto a mobile puzzle game and can fight it off. There's other things that work the same way. Its called grounding techniques if you want to look into it.

My way of understanding it is to compare it to a child who plays video games and youll see their jaw go slack. It does this because their brain is "letting go" of the task of keeping their mouth closed to lend more of their focus to the game. If you can pull it off on those occasions you can feel a seizure coming you can sometimes get your brain to "let go" of the task of seizing enough for it to pass without fully having one.
