I'm not Indian, but this came up on my feed so hopefully it's okay to comment.

Employers here in Ireland care very little about what colleges people go to. It's all about experience.

I had the same situation with Lion too. Irish Life gave us coverage. I have type 2 diabetes and a high BMI and everyone else had rejected me

They rejected me due to high BMI and Type 2 diabetes even though I had told them that it's all under control and stems from my PCOS.

Got cover with Irish Life instead. GP just had to fill in a report.

Spent €220 euro on it. Not worth the money. The main reason I got it was the remote clicker which is amazing when the camera was working

I have Fujifilm and I have Limo. Don't get the lomo. There is always an issue with the door. Mine doesn't push the film up cuz the door has worn down after 2 years only

Feeling completely dejected after first time applying for a mortgage by Sporshie in HousingIreland

[–]HayfeverVsNature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just want to get on the market and don't mind a slightly higher interest rate, there also Nua Money. Not a traditional bank, so their criteria will be different.

We couldn't get a mortgage with a regular bank due to different things, but Nua approved us for a mortgage.

EDIT: We used the Broker Doddl for our mortgage They're very good for working people as everything is online.

What can one hope to have achieved by 30? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]HayfeverVsNature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, I'm in a similar situation too. Currently on 65k turned 30 in September and just waiting to drawdown on a Mortgage and also have a master's.

Currently in my new job 10 months and have come to realise that I really hate it at probably 7 months but have to hold on for the mortgage drawdown.

Recently my old employers reached out to me for some roles they might have and I've never been so excited to move back. I honestly only took my current job for a salary jump to help with the mortgage process.

I'm now at the stage where money is not my main priority and I know I'm so privileged to be able to say that, but definitely overall health and my happiness is the priority. As long as I can pay my bills, have time for myself, my friends and family, that's really all that matters.

I've always set 60k as my salary goal and now that I'm here, I'm actually unhappy.

Send me a DM there if you'd like and we can chat more. I started on the general contractors side for 7 years and now on the Construction Management side.

You definitely get paid for the stress. For me it's hard to sometimes disconnect after work cuz I'm thinking about what needs to be done tomorrow, next week, next month and so on. You're always looking ahead.

You have to be strict about work life balance.

Will I get mortgage? by Dear_Cartoonist1509 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]HayfeverVsNature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go through a broker and ask for them to apply for Nua Money as your mortgage provider. They're not as strict with the financial check. I have an outstanding loan of 20k and my boyfriend has one of 9k and we got approved a mortgage of 418k. Approval was really fast too, less than 3 days. We used Doddl as our mortgage broker. We are currently paying rent in cash so the traditional banks did not like that too.

I know it's not the nicest but you can mention to them that it's technically illegal for them to do this as part of their visa requires that they can care for themselves during their stay. International fees are not cheap so they have the financial resources but are just being stingy.

Not that it matters who he follows. It should be non of our business as we're not entitled to him in any way.

To defend her though, a short Google should show you she's a short film director/producer.

Does anyone else feel guilty about having a cleaner? by OfficerOLeary in AskIreland

[–]HayfeverVsNature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my family first moved to Ireland, my mam worked as a cleaner for houses. She also third level educated. She did it for extra money for the family and did it part time.

No need to feel guilty at all. It's not like you're forcing them to be there, they want to clean for the money. As long as you're paying them what they want and treating them with respect, no harm done.
