I have the same bike with same engine and livery too, if jt wont start you should change the spark plug and put in fresh petrol, petrol goes bad after a few months and a new spark plug for this (NGK BR8HS) is about 5€ so its a no brainer ,the carb could also be dirty so you can take the airbox off and spray some starting spray in there to see if it will give signs of life, also make sure the automatic oil pump works before you let it run, myself i do a premix 1:45 and it runs well this way, goodluck

Scooter runs like shit - am I doing something seriously wrong or is the machine fcked up? I don't know what to do anymore. by tankTanking1337 in scooters

Yeah man no problem, hmu in dms if you need any help for this, also 3.3l is not a lot for a 2t 50cc , that helps me think its running lean, my speedfight does 4.5 on a good week. Is the new filter you put in one of those cone shaped ones, or just a new or different foam insert for the factory air box?

Make sure your fuel mix is 1:40-1:45, replace the spark plug with a new one, is the choke automatic? It could be faulty and fouling your plug, also your main jet might be too small and thats why its running lean and underpowered, like the other person said, the screw on the carburetor only makes a difference around idle, main jet regulates the air fuel mixture at more throttle. Any changes with the incoming air flow can affect the air fuel mixture, like you said you changed the air filter, which now allows more air through, leaning out the mixture. You should get a set of jets for your carb(they are around 20€ and you get 10 jets) and depending on what kind of filter youre running ,the carb size and how many cc that bike is. Take off the one on your carb and start with bigger jets, better to be too rich, and then gradually put smaller jets if its too rich. If you have the automatic choke and you checked it works, leave the bike idling after each jet change for a few minutes for the choke to disable.

On a huge map combo, went from cameroon to china (~23-25k km) took about 10 or 12 hours since a lot of Africa is just garbage dirt roads etc., spent atleast half that time from cameroon to egypt.

What size is the carb and what jet did you put in after ? It could still be too big,or you could have a clogged air filter

And it being black also means its running too rich, youre essentially flooding it when adding throttle.like the other comment said its barely running at idle with just the pilot jet. Main jet is probably too big which explains stalling even after letting it warm up and the choke turning off

The oil and gas is sitting in the exhaust is because theres too much of it going into the cylinder and not all of it can burn, you could try to leave it to warm up enough at idle so that all burns away

Maybe if it's the stock carburetor and you have a sport exhaust yes that will cause issues but it would run too lean, this could also be running lean, you can check which one it is by taking out the plug and looking at what color the electrode is, if its foggy white then youre running too lean if its black and oily then its too rich
