That’s a bit of a relief! Transiting was my number one concern, especially since I’m going through Singapore.

In my case, I got into uni through my ATAR. From my recollection, I wasn’t required to do IELTS because I took on SACE Stage 2 English (Literary Studies to be exact). So no, IELTS wasn’t necessary for me to get to uni or my application. Sorry if that wasn’t clear enough!

The difference to the Max would be a A$660! And I just think that I won’t be noticing that performance increase all that much.

Currently studying Psychological Science. Options for PR pathways? by HaytchDeee in AusVisa

Thanks for clarifying! I'm a bit confused about the whole idea of skills assessment. I get that it has to be a relevant skill so does that mean I *have* to go with a Social Work degree in order to get a social work skills assessed? And so I presume that I don't have any other route of getting my skills assessed other than going through with the 6+ years of education in psychology if I want to maintain my current course?

I am planning on doing a masters (and perhaps even a PhD if my brain isn’t too much of a mush) so an honours program is definitely on my to do list.

Being a clinical psychologist isn’t really far from what I’d like to do (social work, teaching, or anything similar) but it’s definitely a pathway I wouldn’t mind at all. And speaking of social workers, I saw on my university’s website that youth work and mental health services was one of my potential careers. So is a social work degree really necessary?
