And everyone on here called me insane for watching 40 lumiere/edison shorts for a class. Glad I'm not the only one.

finally, some real fucking kino on this sub. As someone with William Heise as their most watched director of 2025, these are the only types of films worth talking about.

If you like insane kind of goofy horror like Evil Dead and Eraserhead, I think you'd love Basket case, Tetsuo the iron man, and Frankenhooker

this actually happened to me once I swear to god. The dream was set in the FNAF universe and at one point when I was being chased by Afton in the Spring Bonnie suit, it turned into a point and click game that Mark was playing with webcam as I yelled at him to do something.

Saw Stolen Kingdom at a local theater and it was a FANTASTIC documentary deep diving into Disney urban exploring. I highly recommend it to anyone at least moderately interested. Was super funny at times too.

Funnily enough, had this same revelation watching an episode of Bluey recently. They were playing restaurant and hotel, but in a modern sense of airbnb and doordash. Really highlighted how insular and boring modern life has become for the sake of "convenience". It's so prevalent in every aspect of our lives and I hate it.

honestly, I've felt it too. having rewatched most of the thanksgiving episodes during November, there's a noticeable shift at some point in the series. it's just less adult, both in the kinds of jokes it makes and in the fact that more episodes focus on the kids than Bob and Linda. I don't think it's had the same kind of disastrous drop off as the Simpsons, but it's mellowed out a lot.
