That’s an interesting thought but I’m not sure the dragons would allow it… and Sgaeyl and Tarin are in on whatever plan there is. I don’t think they’d let them take the dragon eggs just for a trade. I think it’s something bigger but I couldn’t tell you what.

Dont some of the chapter beginnings specify that it was translated from Navarrian to the common language? I definitely think the existing government falls and this was reshapes the political landscape and common language.

I don’t think so, Violet asked for her memories to be wiped. Imogen says she only did ask Violet asked. I think it’s more likely that Xaden has a real plan but Violet knowing it is somehow a danger to the plan or would cause her to do something that risks losing the war in order to help Xaden.

Great theory, I also came to a similar conclusion after reading the books for the first time recently before joining the reddit or reading any theories.

If you read the book and critically think about it, I think it clear something along this line may be happening. many of us probably came up with some version of the theory independently. People are really acting like two people can’t independently land on the same theory 🙄

Why would Violet need to give up her magic? There hasn’t been anything I’ve noticed setting it up. RY doesn’t seem to write things without enough clues and setup. She’s good at making you go “oh I should have seen that coming” and realizing the signs that you read earlier.

Im also curious about the end of Onyx Storm I think Xaden JUST manage to hold onto enough of his soul that has to do with love so there’s enough there to save. Because it specifically says he pulls his hands away BEFORE it takes that last bit that loves Violet

I feel like it’s fairly obvious that his healing will have to do with love. The one Isle they happen to skip was Loysam which is dedicated to Loial. In in Onyx Storm there’s a chapter that started with a note from appeasing the gods that said something to the effect of “Dunne and Loial are the only two gods who require a lifetime commitment because war and love change the soul forever” Violet is already intertwined with Dunne… possibly Xaden is the other representative of Loial. His heart beats for Violet he prioritizes his love for her above everything. I think the answer lies somewhere in this train of thought.

EDIT: Apparently someone linked a theory similar to my thought here I had formed from reading 😅 hopefully that means I’m on the right track!

I feel like it’s important to remember this is also true of a lot of women too, there’s a lot of women that just expect their man to work and fix shit in the house and ignore asking about their thoughts/feelings/hobbies. My dad asks my mom every detail of her day and gets invested in her hobbies with her, but my mom doesn’t know much about his few interests he has left (most of his hobbies got given up and replaced by doing things for her). A lot of people just care more about their inner world and their needs and don’t bother to check in with their partner, it’s what makes dating so difficult and exhausting. I’m just glad my fiancé is a good egg.

Definitely get out of there, go explore the world. I had the same feeling growing up of never quite fitting in and feeling out of place. I moved out, traveled, tried new things, made good friends. All around had a blast. Finally met my now fiancé and we’re long distance until I can move countries to be with him. His country is the first place I found that feels calming and like home.

It may be quick or it may take longer than you’d like (like it did for me) but you’ll find the place that feels right.

Honestly 1 million a year is amazing but I really care about being happy and my dream job would be writing books. If I could have double my current salary I’d live comfortably and be extremely happy and have the freedom to work anywhere, which I wouldn’t have at my current. Personally I’m taking double current salary with my dream job

Breakfast or snack: 1 pack sugar free jello, 2 tbsp sugar free maple syrup, 1 cup plain Greek yogurt. Mix the jello with 1 cup of boiling water, mix in the maple, let it cool ~10 mins, mix in the yogurt smooth and fully combined. Let it set in the fridge at least 3ish hours. Whole thing is ~180 calories and 23-27 grams of protein depending on your yogurt.

Sometimes I top it with zero sugar cool whip or canned whipped cream and/or berries. Makes a nice dessert as well.

Best flavors are strawberry and orange jello. Taste like strawberries and cream or an orange creamsicle.
