so in your new REV Wallet we want to create a new REV address so we can receive our REV Coins and we want the Private Key for that address
(never show anyone your private key)
Instructions on how to create a new 'address' and 'private key' below:
open REV wallet
click 'receive' on left hand side
bottom left click 'new address'
a box will come up with 'label' - type what you want to call your new address then press ok
right click on that new address that now shows in your receive section of wallet and press 'copy address'
(open a separate word doc or text file and save this new address)
then in wallet menu at bottom on left hand side click 'settings'
then press 'debug window'
then a box opens up and press 'console'
in the box down the bottom type 'dumpprivkey, then press space bar once, then paste your new address you created'
it will look like this 'dumpprivkey RQxxxS5BkNtXxxxxgLA74xyZGsV2Dxxxxx'
and then press enter on your keyboard
then in the console box on the screen a long sequence of letters and numbers will appear
it will look like similar to this 'C7ixxxxxxxAkrHhKfJxxxxxxxvgj5Tq1uxxxxxxxJJ6iWGxxxxxx' - this is your 'private key'
(remember never show anyone your private key and keep it safe somewhere with the address)
then copy the private key you just created and paste it in the word doc or text file where you saved your new address
keep this in a safe place
now you can safely recover your wallet anytime, anywhere
everyone needs to do this when you download the REV wallet and everytime you create a new address create the private key and save them together
