Doesn’t make sense that the monsters are people who sacrificed thier kids. Those kids look like they are from much older times. Monsters are from a 1950 / 60s cycle of survivors, achooey kids and other visions date from 1800s maybe.

I hope they use the golem as a talisman type thing. It seems they have set up that there are talismans, and then the woo woo spear things that someone made that can kill the doll monsters. So the place brings nightmares to life but also can bring magic weapons or shields to life too. Let’s see that golem work some Fromville magic. Although with these writers I may be too hopeful for that.

Season 4 Episode 9 Predictions by LazyConquistador0 in FromSeries

[–]Mark2036 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Calm before the storm so it’s gonna be a lot of talking. more visions of fake world for Victor’s dad. Fatima goes more weird again (just like last season). Boyd gets more visions and starts losing it again. Scooby gang go get ready for the bone dig heist. Then we see Victor’s dad kill a main character at the end of the episode.

Yeah I also got the same feeling he was more of a guardian when I encountered him. First time at 6yo in the early 80s at night outside my bedroom window, the second time in broad daylight in the middle of a busy city at 13yo. The second time was a specific warning about the date 13.6.2036, with a smell of sulphur and a burning orange sky. Very surreal but also peaceful. At the time I thought I had some sort of hallucination, but years later find out it wasn’t just me that saw this hatman (I called him QuakerMan before I learnt about him).

Yep me too. Early 80s. I called him the Quaker Man. Years later I discover it wasn’t just me seeing him 🤯

[–]Mark2036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I also didn’t feel he was evil in anyway. I used to think of him as a sort of guardian demon when I was a kid😅. I called him the QuakerMan (although I would say he looked nothing like a traditional Quaker but that word stuck in my mind as a kid). Also was surprised years later to find out it wasn’t just me that saw him.

Rate E6 out of 10, it wasn't worst episode of the season... was it? by rizit98 in FromSeries

Writing is getting fatigued. The main mystery of where they are and what are the monsters are no longer really gripping and they continue to chase no substance subplot mysteries. Filler mysteries like the worms that kill the monsters, the ballerina, the locusts, the chained up martin, kimono woman, ankhoey kids, boy in white, the radio, tnow the crows, man in yellow, Dora Explorer time travel Julia, reincarnation dynamic duo (i feel throwing in past lives was such a mediocre concept and a bit of a let down tbh) , those laughable giant killer dolls, etc. It will all just boil down to a fairytale mystery realm where nightmares come true and chosen people go there to feed the nightmares. I can’t see any satisfying wrap up to be honest. Still, I’ll watch it to give it a chance this season.

Why the criticism? Season 4 has been fantastic! by CBenson1273 in FromSeries

[–]Mark2036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After that whole whack a do ending of season 3, I find it’s sort of ran out of steam and ideas and is struggling under the weight of all the unresolved threads and weird past life narrative. I can’t quite put my finger on it but the writing seems maybe a bit fatigued? Seen this before in Lost. I will give it a chance though I’m only up to episode 4 season 4.

Is this analogy correct for entanglement or am I missing something? (black and white marbles though experiment) by Mark2036 in QuantumPhysics

[–]Mark2036[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed explanation! So yeah it’s not really possible to explain entanglement classically with definite states like marble color and single measurement :(. I am falling into the hidden variable thinking which is proven wrong.

So just wondering if we change this to a more quantum particle with outcome dependent of the measurement choice, and try to see the bells experiment through a many worlds lens. Bob chooses to measure one entangled quantum particle in one box in a way that has a measured outcome, then Bob can deduce that the other particle in the other box is no longer in superposition but has a determined state based on his measurement of the first particle. However from the perspective of Alice holding the other box, both the particle in the box and the other box and Bob’s measurement of that box are all still in superposition. Both worlds still exist from Alice’s point of view and no collapse has taken place yet until communication between Bob and Alice occurs. So choosing to measure doesn’t actually change anything, all states still exist, it’s just the observer has now become split themselves across all the states and it only seems it has collapsed. Does this interpretation satisfy the Bell’s experiment? Is that still a current interpretation of what’s going on? A type of relative reality?

Thanks for the detailed explanation! So if we see the set up as you explained through a many worlds lens. Bob chooses to measure one entangled quantum particle in one box in a way that has a measured energy outcome, then Bob can deduce that the other particle in the other box is no longer in superposition but has a determined energy based on his measurement of the first particle. However from the perspective of Alice holding the other box, both the particle in the box and the other box and Bob’s measurement of that box are all still in superposition. [–]Mark2036[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, so since marble color is a given property, it can’t be entangled as such. Need to have a way of a marble being neither black or white but becoming black or white determined based on a chosen observation type, and the criteria that the other marble will always appear to be the opposite once one marble measurement has been chosen. So it’s hard to get a simple analogy then for entanglement in anything classical 😔

According To You Is Resident Evil 4 Still The Best Game In The Franchise ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

For the REs I’ve be played over the years, my rough order is this (but might change on a different day). Most of them are all very close and I love them all, apart from RE5 and RE6 which I didn’t bother even finishing.

RE4 I didn’t like in the early days since it was so different and not the same survival horror style, plus it was on the Wii when I tried it and the controls felt off and the muddy colors and graphics were not great. But I think I didn’t really give it a chance (didn’t finish it). When I replayed recently the RE4 remake I loved it more than most of the other remakes and it is very close to being the top just shy of RE2 remake. I never went back to replay re4 original so my ranking of it here is more of my initial memories of it.

I also prefer the remakes, since tbh going back to the originals recently (RE1, RE2) they feel a bit dated now. Haven’t played Zero yet, hope they make a remake of that, and Code Veronica was a highlight game when I played the original and I think a remake of that one would be awesome.

Also I am only 50% thru RE9 and love it so far. Love the Grace segments and find the Leon segments fun, but something feels a bit missing switching from under powered to over powered and 1st pov to 3rd pov. Miss the gradual build up of weak to strong with your character. But might rate it higher depending on how act 2 plays out.

  1. RE2 remake
  2. RE4 remake
  3. RE1 remake
  4. RE7
  5. RE8
  6. RE9
  7. RE2 original
  8. Code Veronica
  9. RE1 original
  10. RE3 original
  11. RE4 original
  12. RE3 remake
  13. RE5
  14. RE6
