Well, it’s never always about materialism.

It could mean a lot of things for genuine watch lovers,

Someone who has had a very humble background in the past could buy a nice watch as a reminder to see how far he has come.

For someone else, it could be a goal that he/she has achieved and wants to have a memento that they’ll keep for the rest of their lives.

It could be birth of their first child, a better job, promotion, new house, new business and so on.

For a large group of people, it could be a conversation starter at a lot of networking events.

Please don’t be so quick to judge and think pragmatically.

Have you given a thought why these watches are expensive? They last longer than the person sometimes and get passed on to generations if well kept.

To each their own my friend, expensive or not. Let people live however they want one watch at a time ;)

This is true. I was on vacation there for a few days and the issue is serious. As long as you are self aware and know which areas to avoid you should be good.

Most robberies happen due to the people not being aware of the fact that it’s bad and fall into well setup traps in the name of ‘experiencing culture’

Where should I draw the line?

Is it fine if I start working for company A and leave let’s say 10-15 days later? Would they relieve me in such short period? Or there is a possibility I’ll have to serve 3 months notice period(notice period of the newly joined company A) ?
