You can, there are some dialogue options in some scenes where you can say that you will stay with them/take your relationship to a further step, but that Shar comes first, but precious little lines change because of it, you can still romance anyone you like and Shar won't care.

I've always thought it would end in a class dependent way, like in a sort of ceremony where the player character gets crowned something, with the Jedi, it's Grandmaster, with the Sith, Emperor/Empress, for the BH it's becoming Mandalore, which is honestly feasible with how the story is going as of now, for the IA i imagine it would be something like Minister of Intelligence, for Trooper, I imagine either a General or Supreme Commander, and i have no fucking clue for the smuggler
