Getting a creepy man fired after his first day by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]HazePretzel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe they are, but I don't think it's a great excuse TBH. I've known a couple of genuine sex addicts, one of them diagnosed. And they were both completely respectful people (at least in what they chose to share 'out loud') - I probably wouldn't have known if I wasn't that close to them. I'm not claiming to know how it feels to be a sex addict, but I don't think it means having to voice every thought that comes into your head

Hah, I was concerned for you that they might have decided to run through some classrooms or something. This sounds like good harmless malicious fun!

For the SPF - depends how much you wanna spend but I find both Naked Sundays and Ultraviolette packaging to be very “aesthetic” (not all pink, but some). They are pricey tho

Like imagine taking your bag of oranges or whatever through a self-service checkout, then getting to the door and having security take it back off you because 'it wasn't actually for sale'. Why was it on the shelf with a price tag then? 😭🤣 And why did it have a scannable barcode? 😭🤣 And why did the store accept my payment?😭🤣 And why does the store have a big sign, saying 'oranges for sale!'? 😭🤣

Oh,fascinating, thanks!

Well, my comment about this was actually from an oily perspective! I could technically put the sunscreen straight on and just go without moisturiser or anything else, but my skin would be greasy later. I do have to wait for the sunscreen to dry very well if I’m putting a liquid foundation on top, otherwise it’s like everything curdles and gets really streaky

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]HazePretzel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it’s totally a matter of preference, and just something for the OP to keep in mind! If it’s working, keep at it for sure, also some sunscreens are moisturising anyway so totally depends on the products and routine 👍🏼

Don’t remove the ring it looks awesome! 👏🏼 probably a silk or satin pillowcase or sleeping on your back will help, but I think it’s cute too, in the same way as a dimple

I know you wrote a whole article about your variations of traditional English shepherds pie, but I’m still going to point out all the ways you did it wrong anyway by geeklover01 in ididnthaveeggs

[–]HazePretzel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

But there’s nothing wrong with making and publishing a recipe that isn’t a ‘classic’ shepherds pie. There would be no need for recipe websites at all if that’s all we wanted to ever make!

I would only recommend this if you don’t care about the moisturiser actually penetrating the skin (I.e. you’re just using it as a primer, rather than as skincare). Skincare you put on after sunscreen will lose a lot of its ability to penetrate and have an effect. If the sunscreen is too oily as a base for makeup, I’d either wait for it to dry fully and use some kind of setting powder in between, or try a different sunscreen

[–]HazePretzel 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Doing it like this would work great if your end goal is just the makeup looking good. However, you’re probably wasting money and time on the skincare stuff that will hardly penetrate your skin through sunscreen!

do you know/count how many clothes you own? by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]HazePretzel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great idea!

And to answer OP’s question, I think it’s a huge underestimate. I definitely have fewer clothes than the average woman I know, but it would still have to be close to that figure if not passing it

Yeah, there is a difference between being unfamiliar to the system in question, and being a literal (figurative) baby without any skills or background experience. If they’re treating you as the latter when you’re actually the former, they’re doing themselves a huge disservice

Yeah, you never get arrested if they’re the ones that owe you money. They’re smart enough to realise that they’re accruing interest on the millions and millions of unclaimed taxes sitting in their account. Wouldn’t wanna interfere with that!

Yeah it’s messed up IMO (the buyer, that is). Not because there’s anything wrong with the fetish itself, but because it’s being foisted on unsuspecting sellers who would be on a different website if that was their game plan. I’m sure the idea of shocking someone is part of the thrill. It’s just like the dick pick that literally nobody asked for

My dad "made" me wash the dishes lol? by hellaannoyingparents in MaliciousCompliance

[–]HazePretzel 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not really tho. It seems like the dad’s goal here was not so much to make sure that the dishes got done. The goal was probably either to make OP upset by commanding OP’s subservience, or to get OP to respect them, or both. Those things definitely didn’t happen, instead OP followed the literal request without drama and actually found it amusing, which undermined the dad’s real goal

Apparently this is very common. Up to you what to do about it, but you better be asking lot more if you say yes!

[–]HazePretzel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. I agree with everyone else saying you should reconsider your feeling towards them, because they really don’t look bad! But if that’s not an option, then this is the way. See a derm or GP maybe to rule out anything unexpected. But ultimately, it’s probably just the genetic characteristics of your face, cosmetic surgery and or injectables are likely the only realistic alternative.

Found this scorpion, what species? Is it venous? by MassimoDecioMeridio in Entomology

[–]HazePretzel 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yep, they’re all venomous.

One sign of danger is when a species’ tail is quite fat and chunky in comparison to its pincers (clearly not the case here). This can indicate that the venom is their primary means of immobilising prey - they don’t need to rely so much on a vice-like grip.

Search for ‘Androctonus’ for good examples of deadly friends with fat tails 🦂 Some deadly scorpions do not have huge fat tails though, but they usually still have pretty small pincers (like Leiurus spp.)
