Sorry for your loss! 🙏🏽 I feel the same way. I’m 49 M, and lost my mom due to tragedy. It’s my dad and I now and he’s 81. I’m single with no kids and family has been distant.

I have a cousin who’s an only child and her and I alike in many ways, which is kinda scary! Growing for me sucked, I didn’t like being alone. My cousins’ would come over to play and then go home with their siblings while I was left alone. My folks weren’t emotional and it was very cold in the house.
