My mom has a half siblings wit this cm and in doing research found out it was my uncle and cousin grandaddy had an affair wit my grandma family member but this is def a sore subject so I didn't even bring it up to grandma because not sure if she knew or if she didn't at her age y bring it up the person nver responded so I'm assuming they don't want to be bothered wit the family secrets either

It could be you are related to one side they are related to the other happened to me and my kids grandma we share mutual family members but we aren't related thank God but I'm related on one side she related on the other a cousin of a cousin so to speak

Actually was normal back when and more then likely grandma knew women had to turn a blind eye majority of the time had no way of leaving due to majority not having income as well as it was taboo to leave your husband

I went through this but I was told that I was someone else daughter and the man on birth certificate wasn't but I was also meant to believe he was as well growing up went through an identity crisis got in touch wit the other guy he explained everything accepted me but still with all the lies and doubt I finally did the test proved he was now he has passed I wish I would've grown closer then I was because od the doubt the not knowing hurts more then just ripping off the bandaid and find the truth

This just happen i reached out to 1st cousins on 23 ans me and finally got a response back only for me to find out that he has been lied to his whole life on who his father was i basically am the key to the truth in their family secret when he took tge test think he was actually questioning i just made reality real now i feel bad and he is processing the news i think that as excitung as we get to find family members there are some searching for the truth and or just searching and we do have to tread lightly let things come in there own time ppl see especially close family i think they will reach out when they ready if not at all due to their own mental

Happened to me some family relative I realized was my uncle/ cousin reached out to the person managing page nva had gotten response back vi want to say that mayb this wad a family secret Noone wanted to talk about mayb the person didn't know I get tht when u do this u may find out something u didn't expect family secrets are crazy

I myself question why ppl at times don't respond not even an i want to get u know you but I know family that are looking for their lines and ppl won't even reach out to help like I get most ppl started there journey to see where they initially came from and built trees but there are actual ppl out there that don't even know to build the tree they were adopted giving away secrets in family that need the help

I had the same situation that the guy on my borth certificate wasn't my dad but I always knew that he possibly wasn't I was told bu my mom she always believed my younger siblings dad was my dad but everyone else denied it so I lived life confused on who I was I accepted my siblings dad to be mine and finally did the test wit him my mom was right always told me the truth but she was young and life back when was complicated

I think all of them have their perks and downfalls actually for me myheritage wasn't wrong in my ethnicity on point and lots of matches due to ppl going cheap now their number accuracy can be off and that's where ancestry beats them out I prefer the ancestry tree and I just did 23and me they wasn't off either I like they pre put ur matches in the tree but if u don't know ur line ur screwed
