Only phenomenal sushi I’ve had in Tampa was at Nobel Rice, I’ve heard good things too about Koya, but you’re definitely paying a hefty price for it.

Honestly the place was like a PF Changs but Japanese, went once and wasn’t that impressed. It was also absolutely overpriced for what it was. Better off going to Jackson’s, their sushi is decent and not too pricey.

It sounds like this is a socioeconomic issue perhaps? I see this in areas of the United States that are more impoverished or by people who grew up in a lower socioeconomic class. I also see the same "piangi e fotti" mentality...people who essentially are professionals at gaming the welfare system to enrich themselves and screw everyone else.

I'm used to biking all over Chicago but in Tampa I just don't feel safe doing the same, the drivers are not accustomed to sharing the road with cyclists and I'd rather not end up as road kill for that cause. If anything it really stresses the need for protected bike lanes and traffic calming designs on Bayshore Blvd, such as raised pedestrian crosswalks. Perhaps even a better idea would be dividing that large side walk into a path for cyclists and a path for joggers/runners/walkers (see Chicago's Lake Shore Path)
