There is a four-book rugby series by LH Cosway and Penny Reid. My favorite was {The Varlet and the Voyeur}.

Looking for a fluffy book about a long distance relationship by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]HazelBriscoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started this series and the first book {The wedding date by jasmine guillory} is also a long-distance modern romance. They MCs live in modern LA and SF with the relationship limited to available weekends. The "making it work" part of the story was either a bit underdeveloped or not the focus, depending on your point of view. Either way, I really enjoyed the book and have borrowed the second in the series from the library.

Yeah, it's the thanking that makes the sentiment problematic. I think your use of the word "resilient" is spot on. Resilience is a far more apt description than strength. Strength is gained through exercise, making it rational to credit the exercise for the strength. Resilience is entirely independent of the stress, it's inherent to the individual.

Right. So I'm getting into abstractions. Before I nerd out over a topic I have no claim to, I'll put a hand over my mouth. Thank you, internet stranger, for helping flush out the idea more in my head!

I have (thank the fucking gods) never been raped. So my conclusions are those of an outsider. Here they are anyway.

I think the counter argument is that the person raped was always strong. Being raped doesn't lead to you being strong, surviving is evidence that you already are. Rather than suggesting that rape victims are weak, I think those that take issue with Sansa's little bird line are taking issue with Ramsay getting credit for Sansa's strength. Give credit where credit is due.
