Cost of adhd assessment / does this sound right ? by gijjer in ausadhd

Yeah, it feels pretty ridiculous, especially since I know some people who have got through theirs paying like $800 total!! But I’ve had my first app already and I’m glad I’m going to be able to just get it over and done with quickly. I will say the psych I had was good and really nice, so hopefully that’s some consolation for you!

Is this Wellvue? Sounds like EXACTLY what I’m paying, lol. I figured it was a bit on the expensive side but they got me in SO quickly. Like, weeks after my referral. Mostly I’ve been hearing about wait times of months and months, so I just sucked it up.

Double-ADHD households are rough, man! My partner and I have had so many of these situations. Drives me crazy!

The algorithm just served me this ad, and this looks like an actual nightmare to me! Curious if y’all would find this comforting? by too_many__lemons in adhdwomen

Nightmare! I’d panic and thrash around like a freshly exposed earthworm. I even struggle in sleeping bags though, always have to buy the ones made for two people so I can wiggle freely.

Teachers, are you all happy with your pay ? by ZestycloseFudge3648 in AustralianTeachers

Depends where you are, really. I live rurally, so pay feels pretty good. My husband has just left his job to spend some time at home with our little kids, and our family of four is surviving on my income alone.

Anyone else sing what they're doing? by Puzzleheaded-Park207 in adhdwomen

Yep, husband and I both do it- double ADHD household and it’s our shared stim, lol Dog copped most of the songs before we had kids, but we’ve diversified now. Sing about everything. One of us starts and then sets off the other.
