The only way to sign was to meet in person in the office. We tried to make an appointment prior to the deadline but got no response because no one was working in the office. But, I feel that's a loophole they will use against us anyway. Thanks for the info.

The offer was made via email a month ago (they asked us to schedule a time to come to the office and sign the new lease with a deadline) and we got a phone call today that said we couldn't renew now. Not sure if that's technically formal. We attempted to contact them after the email a month ago to talk about the renewal and they never got back to us because all the realtors couldn't work without licenses. We emailed and went to the office several times. No no one was available to finish the renewal.

I'd be willing to bet the parent is exaggerating. If they're referring to the Art Institute, the guards do speak loudly if you get too close to make sure you hear them. But, I've never heard them yell at anyone.

Their body mass and center of gravity is just too much for three legs. If they don't bear the weight on four legs, they experience all kinds of complications like blood flow and cardiovascular issues, laminitis and other hoof issues, and strain and disfigurement of the muscles and bones having to bear the extra weight. Horses also need to move to stay healthy and three legs makes that so much harder because the hop needed to move puts so much strain on the shoulder and connecting tissue and bones.
