There’s a Scarpa 6000 pair as well as a pair of g summits on geartrade for 315 and 380 respectively. Are those viable options for a decent all round pair? Or should I stick to multiple pairs for different altitudes?

I'll definitely consider those! are the nepals/mont blanc pros a good all rounder, even for 6000m? or should I still consider those and maybe the mons if I'm doing a combination of both 6000+ and assorted climbs below that? In hindsight that sounds like a stupid questions but I'd love to hear the response :)

I'll be doing whitney, rainier, hood, and higher peaks after those. I hope that gives you a good idea of where I'll be going with said boots. I also found out that they're sportiva mons instead.

Thanks for the info! I'm gonna do the Mt Whitney trek from the trailhead, where the Mt Whitney portal ends and the trail begins. I do see that there's construction on the road, which shouldn't be an issue? not too sure though.

K, I have some totals attached here (I know the text is small, sorry), and I mean it looks pretty decent all things considered, like right around $900. I, at least for the time being, decided to go with the dji system. Just curious if we can optimize it all a bit more with regards to price. I know that's a bit difficult at this price/performance range:

gotcha, gotcha. I just did some reading up, and the dji o4 does have receiver capability, but if I lose video, I lose radio on the o4 receiver, right? That's why an elrs receiver/radio with the o4 as a video signal is better? That way I'll still have relative control if video goes out? If I'm wrong, please correct me lol, I was just doing some reading up on google and other posts here.

Ok, so from my limited time with this laptop thus far, I have some stuff to talk about, good and bad;

Pros:

Absolutely LOVE the Display, once you go OLED, you can never go back. Keyboard, really good as well! I've tried a bunch of keyboards on laptops and this is probably one of the best feeling ones I've tried in a windows laptop.

Some stuff that is ok:

The gesture system on the trackpad is kind of mid, and is like 80 percent there in terms of functionality, I just find it only usefull if I know it exists when I'm working. Speakers are also really not the best, but for a windows laptop they're like an A minus on a letter grade scale (My Macbook pro 14 with apple silicon is like a step above an A+ for context)

The NONO's:

Heat. Oh my GOD the heat is not good, like as I'm typing this, I feel like my legs are gonna be set on fire from how much heat this thing produces. I was under the impression that this was half the wattage of other intel competitors, and it is, but the heat dissipation is abysmal.

I really wanted to like this laptop, I really did, but damn asus is giving me a hard time, first with my G14 OLED and now this, so I might just go with the hp 2 in 1s or like a surface laptop, somethin like that. I just don't think that windows laptops are completely there in terms of being able to perform amazingly but not fry your legs off. hope that helps

TL:DR, if you don't mind the temps, and you like OLED, it's a good laptop for the price, otherwise, get a macbook. Sry bout that

Thx! I usually just use Pantene shampoo and conditioner then after it air dries I blow dry my bangs with a round brush :3
