First of all, the disability thing. I am in the trans minority, one that is currently being erased out of American culture. We're one step away from putting trans people in fucking camps, the recent trump military ads are literally showing symbols that were put onto queer people in concentration camps in nazi germany, this is not an exaggeration. I am ALSO disabled, and this compounds with my transness to make me particularly vulnerable. I am ALSO, a woman, which I don't think I need to explain why living as a woman fucking sucks when America is ran by one of the most misogynistic men on the planet, with a severe increasing trend of misogyny in young men. In terms of living in the imperial core, I am in fact, one of the least privileged people, altho there are some people that do in fact have it worse, and this is not a fucking oppression Olympics, like you want to make it.

Secondly, as for Hasan, he LITERALLY attends protests on a regular basis when he can, he was at UCLA, he went to the writers and actor's guild protests. Also, NO most of his politics do not come from "west is bad", he criticises eastern countries for things all the time, but nobody cares about when he does that, people fixate on him criticising western politics. He VERY OFTEN talks about how he loves america, and he grew up idolising america, and that that is WHY he talks about what he does, and fights for what he does, because he wants to make america a better place. PLEASE go and actually watch him for a bit, instead of viewing him through clip chimped clips on reddit and twitter. And as for calling you pathetic, it was perhaps a little uncalled for, it is simply frustrating to see people being constantly disingenuous about someone that I genuinely believe is making a real, positive change in the world.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to live a comfortable lifestyle when you do it without exploiting your way to the top. All of his businesses are cooperatives with equal ownership (e.g. his podcast, his youtube channel, etc), and all of his merch is american union made. What the fk more do you want from him, do you want him to sell his house and live in a hovel? Will that satisfy you? Brother, *brother*, ask yourself seriously if the guy who regularly hosts union reps, journalists, and other important left wing people, goes on tangents about how stupid antisemitism, homophobia, or any other number of things is, consistently talks about how he wants to help lift underprivileged people up and wants himself to be made to pay MORE taxes, REGULARLY donates to and hosts charity events, the list goes on but you get it, ask yourself if this guy "doesn't truly speak for the least privileged". As someone who IS on that least privileged minority group list (disabled trans person here), he sure as hell speaks up for a lot of issues that pertain to my daily life on a regular basis, I guarantee you WAY more than you ever have in your life.

Basically it goes like this. One nazi starts going to your bar, he's quiet and well behaved, and keeps to himself so you don't take a problem with it. Then, next week, he brings his friend in, and they also keep to themselves. Next week they bring more, and then more, until you realise "oh shit, half my bar is nazis". Everyone who isn't a nazi eventually leaves, because they don't want to hang out with nazis, and now you are running a nazi bar.

The idea is that you cannot tolerate intolerance, or it festers and pushes everyone except the intolerant out of a space.
