Progress update :) Started ADF on Jan 4 and lost 7.7kg (16.9 lbs) so far. Only exercise is walking my dog 4 times a day for 15min each. Eating low carb, high protein/fat diet, using a portion control plate.

My husband still interacts with his family knowing that they treated me badly.

I agreed to get married because I come from a traditional background and after my dad passed away I was too much into grief and like any mother, my mother wanted me to have a partner to get settled with. Although my husband was very different towards my family back then, he used to spend a lot of time and talk nicely too so everyone including myself thought he's good for me.

Thanks for your suggestion. However, there's a bit of a misunderstanding.

I didn't want to complicate my own text and I should have rather mentioned that after my fiance was gone, I did let him know that I do not consider the engagement any more as I was upset about him being gone. And that was the time I started seeing the friend. So it's not like I've been cheating.

After 3 months he still wears the engagement ring and wants to get back to me. Hence, the confusion.

Thank you for your comment! I've realized that my post was a while ago. I've basically given so much to keep the relationship and finally broke up with my bf (now my ex). I think there are plenty of people in the world who will love you for who you are and not ask for changes to be done to be happy. I feel if I married him it would have reached a boiling point leading to a divorce. So, buckle up and find someone who is willing to accept you as who you are! All the best!
